"Racism abounds!! The front desk staff were only too eager to place my husband and I in inferior rooms when we arrived. I had to aggressively self advocate as a woman of colour (and the one paying the tab!) for a room on the top floor! The hotel decor is nice but dated… lots of dark browns and beiges…. The cafe front staff was disrespectful and condescending. We waited more than five minutes to be acknowledged. They whispered to each other for a couple minutes then without even a “good day” one of them said “come with me”. The entire town was like this… I was happy when we were across the border and back in Canada!"

"The drawer door to the trash can bin was off the hinge. Also, the paper towel dispenser in one of the bathrooms near the fitness centerwas open with no paper in it. Several items for breakfast were gone and not replaced for guests."

"The apartment was not clean. Even after I sent pictures he did not believe me. The place didn’t even have toilet paper! Since we were stuck and had no choice we cleaned the bathroom, stripped the bed and washed the sheets and ran the vacuum. Told owner and he said he had pics from the cleaner that were dated stamped after she cleaned. My pictures were date stamped as well. So he sent her back to “clean”. She didn’t clean but did provide toilet paper. Day three all hell broke loose. We were also told there were elderly neighbors which was not true at all. Day three and four was nonstop noise all evening and into the following day (music blaring, kids in the parking lot with music blasting, kids screaming running up and down the street) The partying continued until 5:30 am BOTH DAYS. Told him and never received a reply. We ended up leaving two days early and checked in to a hotel. "
