"We had a very nice and enjoyable stay. The owners were quick to respond and communicate with us. The dock and hot tub were very enjoyable. The house was clean and well kept. When we had a small inconvenience, the owners were responsive, and remedied the situation. We would stay here again."

"At 2:30 am on June 1st I was awaken by a board above the bed falling off the wall and onto the left side of my head. I reported it to the staff. Went to the ER to make sure I was OK to drive home. They checked me for a concussion and vitals. I again talked with the night manager who said I should receive some compensation for what happened. They have all my information and I have not heard a word from anyone!"

"The hotel is located in an area of town that is run down. When you walk in the decor is extremely outdated, potted fake plants with dust on them that look like they've been sitting there since 1985, a clock that doesn't work. It felt like a museum. The person at the front desk was in no hurry to assist us, then had to manually enter our credit card. Not a big deal, just another example of how outdated this hotel is. The room only has the basics - like one tiny bar of soap, no extra's that you might see in other hotels. The mattress was very thin and the blanket looked like it had been borrowed from someone's grandma's house. We would not stay here again."

"The grounds were gorgeous indeed! Home was very clean, but also outdated and missing amenities such as cable, Kleenex, etc. The master bedroom lets lots of light in at night, due to a skylight above the bed and no curtains. There are branches that scraped against the window all night long, which is not pleasant for light sleepers. With just some tweaks this place could be truly lovely as it has pretty flowers and gardens, is great for bird watching, and is very peaceful."
