Absolutely I felt welcome. I love the whole place. The bright stars at night, the fireplace, the home-away-from-home feeling. Even the drive there is breathtaking.
Cabin was so nice and clean with everything we needed. It had a nice area outside to enjoy the scenery. The location was great and close by to all the battlefields we visited.

We loved this cabin. It was spacious, beautiful and so charming! Check-in was a breeze and we were able to enjoy some peace and quiet.
We plan on coming back for sure!
This is the most incredible property we have ever stayed at via VRBO. It was amazing! The cabin was just beautiful; trust me the photos don’t show nearly the beauty as seeing it in person. The property was immaculately clean. Annette was extremely responsive. If I could give this cabin 100 stars I would. I would highly recommend it to anyone and we will definitely stay here again when in the area.
Was a nice, renovated cabin with addition. Necessities were clean, but lots of cobwebs on fixtures/high areas. Very limited communication with the owner but check in we had no issues and I am not a needy person. Bring a techie to navigate 2-3 remotes for the TVs & satellite with no printed instructions. Wasn't there to watch TV, but ya know. Never used the hot tub but looked clean. You are very close to road & morning traffic (not secluded location). Neighbors just across the road. No regrets and good venue for about 5 people max in my opinion.
Very spacious, private and cozy. Plenty of room for your things. Clean. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure.Very comfortable bed.Very well stocked kitchen.Hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking at the Park.Easy check in.Great location. Close to town and Shenandoah NP.Annette could not have been more welcoming.I would not hesistate to return.
Stayed with my wife and dog. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived and just made a quick stop at the local Walmart for some groceries. Spent most days touring around the local area thanks to the several recommendations the host gave, and spent nights in the hot tub and cooking s’mores and watching the stars
We had such a lovely time at this pretty cabin. Highlights were our hike on the Lion’s Tail trail. For anyone with little kids, it was about 15 min away and a .5 mile loop that was level, stroller-friendly and had a great access to point to the creek. We spent hours there! Our daughter loved the horse decor of the cabin!
We brought our grown granddaughter for a MUCH NEEDED change of pace. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could have needed. Despite the rainy weather, we were able to emjoy the hot tub. We will be back
Beautifully restored “cabin” with the best of both worlds: rustic charm and modern conveniences.
Great location. Close to the Luray Caverns, scenic Skyline Drive and The Appalachian Trail.
The kitchen was well appointed, beds and sofas were comfortable. We also enjoyed the fire pit and hit tub under the night sky.
Very Relaxing!
My husband and I, along with my brother sister-in-law stayed at this beautifully appointed cabin. We were visiting the area for leaf peeping and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude and peaceful location. The patio area was an excellent spot to sit and chat after a day of hiking and exploring. Close enough to shopping when we needed items as well.
Absolutely beautiful inside and out. My group had everything we needed with full kitchen and plenty of towels, comfy beds and nice hot showers. The hot tub was nice to relax in. The owners made it perfect for us. Check in and check out went very smooth. There is wifi at the cabin. Our only regret is not staying longer. Love this place
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. While the cabin is small in square footage, the rooms are spacious. It was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed. It's worth checking out the pond--the lily pads are beautiful--but watch out for ticks on the trail!
A side note for fellow travelers...I have T-Mobile and had good cell reception at the cabin.
The property was comfortable for four adults and two small dogs. It sits right on the road but the back of the property is more private. There is a nice pond out back but stay on the trail and beware of chiggers. Overall a nice homebase for sightseeing and cave exploring.
Please Beware of the owner of this property Annette!!! Upon arriving at the property I urge you to take pictures of everything that is broken , dirty, or in desperate need of repair. We had to re-wash dirty dishes, clean up dead bugs and cat toys left behind. We didn't complain about the condition or cleanliness of the property, and just chalked it up to being a rustic cabin. We enjoyed Luray during our stay regardless. Upon checking out we stripped the beds, emptied the dishwasher, and started the laundry as asked, all while questioning the high cleaning and host fees. On the drive home, I received an email stating that my credit card was being charged 300.0or damage to the cabin. Annette blamed us for her door knob on the front door being broken. She started her email by saying ( What did you do to my door!!! ) I was confused because we only ever used the door closest to parking with the lock box, and that was the rear door. It turned out that Annette charged my credit card without even going to the property herself. Her cleaner told her that her door knob was broken. After Annette went to check, it was just a loose screw causing the knob to hang off. Again we never had a reason to use that door. I literally spent hours later that evening having to make repeated phone calls to VRBO to get my credit card refunded. Annette admitted it was just a misunderstanding to the associate during the final 3 way call. Took 15 days for my refund. Never again!!!
It was a peaceful stay. It was spacious for me and my family. The cabin was very clean but in the pullout couch there was some dog in the mattress and sheets fur from previous person stay. Other than that it was a nice house. There was no lake that we seen and walked through but overall the stay was excellent. It was great and private and peaceful stay. We really enjoyed our time there. The one main thing I will complain is that there was absolutely no cell phone service and we have Verizon and spectrum
Property was very nice, clean. A little off the beaten path but not bad. The reason for the four star rating was the length of the check in and out instructions- literally PAGES of instructions, then part of the info was wrong. Ex: the list of restaurants- one was highly recommended has been CLOSED for years according to the locals. Please update your check in instructions and try to limit the info to what is pertinent.
This property was absolutely stunning, it was in an amazing location. So quiet peaceful and relaxing, beautiful inside and out with plenty of space for families. As well being mobility challenged the property if fully wheelchair accessible. I am in a larger chair than most and had no issues getting into and around the property it was absolutely an amazing place. The hosts were very helpful and answered any questions quickly and provided all and more info then requested. I highly recommend staying here or at any of the properties the host provides. We will be booking again and planning to take other day with us next time. You will not be disappointed when staying here and will likely fall in love with the cabin the moment you go inside as we did...
I recently stayed at this cabin with myself and 4 other friends for a weekend away. We used it primarily as our base for accessing the national park and it worked out perfectly. It was a short 25 minute drive to the Thornton Gap entrance, as well as a short distance from activities in Luray and on the Shenandoah River. At night we had everything we needed to cook dinner, relax, and spend time at the foot of the mountains. The only downside was that we did have to replace the grill propane tank at Walmart nearby as both were out of fuel. Otherwise we had a great stay and would come back.
