JMU graduation weekend
My family were visiting to attend my daughter’s graduation from James Madison University. The house was the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful views and escape the chaos of graduation. The beds were so comfortable. The decor and personal touches were so welcoming. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Awesome Property
We had a multi generational group of 8 women. Each generation from 30 yr to 84 were represented. All LOVED the location and this property. High end kitchen appliances, very nice kitchen supplies and bath towels. The hostess is amazing!

I'm going to save you some time fellow VRBO shopper. If this property is relevant enough for your needs that you've made it to reviews, you should go ahead and "book now". I would encourage you to not read any further information about the Farmhouse so as not to spoil the surprises. You'll be happy with thiis unique property executed to a tee by an exceptional host. While in Luray, stop by Gathering Grounds and Appalachian Outfitters for sure. This is a special property for sure!!

Review of Farmhouse
The farmhouse is gorgeous, and the host is amazing and so welcoming. House is well stocked, with so much thought put into the well-being of the guests. Property around the house is lovely. Conveniently located to town and parks but has that country feel. Can't say enough nice things about this property and the host.

Picturesque Location & Home
Best Vrbo home we've stayed in! Not only did the large, beautiful Farmhouse not disappoint, the host thought of everything to make our family stay extremely comfortable, We had every kitchen appliance necessary to make homecooked family meals as well as a beautiful dining room with lots of seating to accommodate our extended family. The gas fireplaces made the home extra cozy and it was a beautiful space to celebrate the Christmas season and New Year's. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as well. We especially enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch while watching the sunrises and sunsets change color over the mountain ranges. A 5 star stay! We hope to return again, thank you Lisa!!

Wonderful farmhouse!
We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! Beautiful restoration with easy access to Luray and Shenandoah NP. Communication was easy, the house was more than comfortable and the outdoor house animals made it feel like home! Would absolutely stay again.

Amazing!
This home is just perfect from A to Z! The renovation of this farmhouse is unbelievable. Every square inch has been updated and is absolutely beautiful. Lisa has thought of everything you could possibly need. The home is so well stocked from the kitchen supplies to the towels and linens. The setting in the valley is stunning and serene. The location was so convenient for visiting the National Park. And such a nice bonus getting to meet Lisa as she comes by to feed the ducks. You won’t want to leave!

Home away from home
I was blessed enough to have my microwedding here, and wouldn’t change a thing! Everyone raved about how beautiful the property was. Watching the sunset on the back porch is something you read about in books! Great stay :)

Very Special Place To Stay in Luray!
We stayed here with other family as we celebrated our son’s wedding in the area. It was such a peaceful place to stay! Everything was comfortable and family friendly with lots of thoughtful extra touches. Our grandchildren especially liked the ducks and bunnies and playing in the yard. It is a very picturesque setting with beautiful views. The host was very kind and even left a yummy surprise treat for everyone. We had a wonderful time here! I highly recommend staying at this beautiful Farmhouse!

Picturesque Property
Beautifully renovated farmhouse. Quiet location. Spacious porch with comfy rocking chairs to view the mountains, farm fields, and spectacular sunrises. Short drive to Luray. (Restaurants, shopping, walking trail) Owner was accommodating, easy to work with, one of the best.

Hidden Gem
Spent 3 nights at The Farmhouse. The newly renovated property is beautiful. Host Lisa has thought of everything, including providing a plate full of welcome cookies. Property is close to Luray for groceries or people's favorite fast food. We visited Luray Caverns and hiked Shenandoah National Park. Both are must does. We spent evenings on the back porch where we had a beautiful view of the mountains. We also really enjoyed Lisa's pets - 3 rabbits and 2 ducks. Highly recommend a stay at The Farmhouse.

All around amazing
Stayed for a weekend with a group of friends. This property is fantastic. Lisa was a wonderful host and put so much effort into her property and her guests. This is definitely one of the best rental homes I've stayed in. It's super convenient to Luray and things to do in the area. Everything in the house from the cleanliness to the cookies at check-in were amazing. I highly recommend a stay here.

Wonderful, Relaxing stay!
We had plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. The entire property was so clean and cheerful! The homemade cookies and s’mores supplies were a special touch. Owner, Lisa, was lovely! She allowed the kids to help feed the animals and put them to bed. We would definitely stay again!

Location is great, 10 minutes to town. But feels like its further away. Beautiful house. Everything in this house has been re done. Great job. Well stocked. More than ive seen in other rentals. Plenty of room. We had 8 adults and we had plenty of room. Large bathrooms with big walk in showers. I would definitely recomend

Relaxing getaway with the family!
I couldn't have asked for a better stay! The farmhouse was gorgeous - no need to ever leave! I enjoyed coffee (and wine!) on the back porch with the beautiful mountain views, and the kids enjoyed running around the property, riding their bikes, fishing a few miles away, hiking, and most importantly, waiting for Ms. Lisa to arrive every morning and evening to feed the ducks and bunnies (the highlight of their stay). The Luray Caverns were minutes down the road. The kids are already asking when can we go back! :) Thank you Lisa for creating and sharing this beautiful retreat for the family!

Lovely farmhouse in Luray
My family absolutely enjoyed staying at Lisa's farmhouse! My wife and I recently got married and we hosted a small reception at Lisa's farmhouse. It was a spacious, clean, and quaint place close to Luray which is convenient. We enjoyed the views of the mountains and also all the amenities as well (games, firepit, etc.). Lisa was very considerate and was kind enough to accommodate us and the various needs we encountered during our stay. Highly recommend this place, and Lisa is a great host!

Perfect getaway
From the first communication, Lisa was impressive. And the house was even better! Three generations of my family spent five days at the Farmhouse at the Grove and we had everything we needed. The grandbabies loved the ducks and the bunnies, and all of us loved the deck with stunning mountain views. The house was so comfortable that on our last afternoon, we passed on touristy activities to lounge around the house and yard. Everything was as described in the listing and better than I expected. We have stayed in many VRBO houses, and I think this was the first one that one of our kids said "I'd like to come back here!" And we just might do that.

Farmhouse at the grove
Our stay at the Farmhouse was wonderful. The place was immaculate and nicely updated. Homemade cookies and smores were some of the welcome treats. Plenty of towels and paper products available. The town of Luray had some breweries we visited. Loved the hiking. Close to the wedding venue we were attending. Can’t wait to return for a fun weekend.

Fabulous farmhouse with mountain views
Our family of 5 adults arrived at Lisa's farmhouse from around the country. Instantly, we knew we had landed in the ideal home for the weekend. The newly renovated farmhouse is in pristine condition with very comfortable beds, spacious open areas for eating and relaxing, a well equipped kitchen, and welcoming outdoor seating. Lisa's attention to detail and focus on high quality comfort is apparent in every room. Throughout our stay, she was immediately responsive to our needs. Just What we Needed!
This property is a gem! The house is a perfect place to stay! It’s gorgeous, cozy, clean, organized, and has everything you need for a wonderful stay! For us, it was a perfect place to reconnect and relax. We loved soaking in all of the beautiful views! There were views galore… they could be seen from the back porch and every window in the house. The master bedroom had the best views and a cozy sitting nook that was great for reading. Lisa made sure we had everything we needed and then some. She’s amazing! She honestly makes you feel like family. When we arrived there were homemade cookies waiting for us along with a basket full of s’more fixins. Yummy! We didn’t want to leave this amazing property and we can’t wait to get back!

Perfection
This is a very special property with a very special owner. Everything was immaculate and the kitchen had everything you could ever want. The beds were very comfortable. It was obvious a lot of thought went into this renovation. The views were absolutely beautiful, and the children so enjoyed feeding the ducks. We made shmores on the fire pit at night courtesy of the owner who also welcomed us with cookies upon our arrival, We could not have asked for more! It was truly perfect!

Our stay at the farmhouse was everything we dreamt of and more. Lisa made the check in process flawless and easy, and there were sweet “galentines” gift bags with her mother’s homemade cookies awaiting us in the beautiful dining room when we arrived! The home is beautiful and cozy and clean and charming — the pictures do NOT do it justice!! Lisa has created an atmosphere of peace and rest that you can feel the second you walk in the door. The house came with everything we needed, and we just loved sitting by the fireplaces and cozying up in the home for hours. Lisa answered all of our questions immediately and was kind and helpful in all communication. We left feeling rejuvenated and rested, and we are already finding another weekend on the calendar to come back in the fall. Cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Lisa!

A magical gem surrounded by the mountains
This property is stunning. Lisa has turned this farmhouse into a beautiful family holiday location. Her attention to detail makes even the smallest of gestures magical. My family and I stayed over a weekend arriving in the dark. Lisa's communication was brilliant and the property was very clean and tidy. Waking up in the morning we were awe-struck by the amazing view. This is emphasized within the farmhouse by a beautiful open-plan design that allows you to look through the house and see the surroundings. The beds are all great and the bathrooms all had great water pressure and we're beautifully presented. This is just a fantastic location and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area of Luray, Harrisonburg, and Shenandoah National park. Lisa is an exceptional host.

Wonderful Family Time
Our family enjoyed the stay at the Farmhouse as we gathered for a wedding! The views outside the home are amazing, but the Farmhouse itself is one of the most beautiful, immaculate, and cozy places we have ever been! The porch, the kitchen, and the living room were all such wonderful places to enjoy one another's company. We cannot give enough stars to the Farmhouse at the Grove!

Perfect!
We enjoyed every minute of our stay from the second we drove down the lane. I could not have expected anything more. We stayed during Thanksgiving and so glad we did. Lisa did an amazing job making us feel right at home from the smores basket, to the toys for the kids, and lets not even talk about the homemade cookies, AMAZING!!! The view is beyond breath taking. There were 8 of us including 4 children and there was plenty of space and things to do. They looked foward to her coming as she let them help out with ducks and rabbit. I would recommend anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing getaway to stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Extraordinary
I'm a VERY picky person. When faced with some low grade hotel options in this area for a family wedding, I was losing it. Then I found this farmhouse on VRBO. It really seemed too good to be true, but I had few other options and took the leap. I can truly say the only downside was that I did not stay long enough. I have never encountered a property where the in-person experience was BETTER than the photos. This home was immaculately clean, well furnished, and appointed with every thing we needed. I mean EVERYTHING. Beds were comfy, furnishings were on point. The renovations were SPOT on, giving modern amenities to an ages old farm house. I generally fear overly effusive reviews, but there is really no other option but to gush about how great this home was. My siblings that stayed with me just kept thanking me all weekend for finding it. Lisa was so kind and hospitable. There is literally NOTHING I can point to as an issue. Exceeded our high expectations!
This property is immaculate, equipped with everything you could ever need. The furniture is super comfortable. The thoughtfulness that went in to renovating and furnishing this property was felt and so appreciated! Our adult daughter loved feeding the animals every morning with Lisa. Our son and his girlfriend love to cook and were totally at home preparing our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Our son-in-law practiced his golf swing in the big lawn. We had a puzzle going at all times on the kitchen table in front of the fireplace and gathered for meals and games at the dining room table. The view is spectacular - we spent evenings around the firepit laughing, star gazing, and roasting marshmallows. We played cornhole, golfed, toured Luray Caverns, went to Shenandoah National Park. We took a drive to Washington, VA and had a lovely dinner at Patty O's Cafe by the Inn at Little Washington. The location of the farmhouse is amazing - in the country but very close to the welcoming town of Luray. We had a fantastic stay at the Farmhouse - we relaxed, refreshed, and reconnected! Mother/Siblings Getaway
My siblings and I wanted a place to take our 87 year old mother in the mountains that was quiet and peaceful. The Farmhouse at the Grove was a beautiful home with views of the mountains from every room. The renovations done were absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed our weekend with our mother drinking coffee by the fireplace in the kitchen, playing cards and other games. We watched movies by the other fireplace in the living room. We felt at home. The house was full with everything you may need. Lisa did a wonderful job sharing her home. We will definitely come again.

Girl's Weekend to Relax and Explore
Can't say enough about the house and the host! From the start of our communications to the time we left, it was perfect. We were a group of old friends looking to relax and hit the caverns. And when we got to the house, we weren't disappointed! The photos for the listing don't even do the house justice! The place was amazing! The interior design and decorating were so professional. And the little touches througout the house - from the fresh flowers in the bathrooms, to the homemade cookies, made our visit just lovely! The house was well stocked, with just about everything you'd need, and more! And our entire group enjoyed our stay even with the rainy weekend. We'll definitely be headed back to enjoy a weeked more dry! Lisa, thanks so much for your hospitality!

BREATHTAKING!!
If I could give this property 10 starts I would. We enjoyed this family vacation with our grown children and grand-daughter. From the minute we walked into the door it was spectacular. Bags of home made cookies from her mom were waiting on on the family table for us to enjoy and were the best cookies I have ever had. Lisa is the most gracious host ever and so thoughtful. We had no problem what so ever checking in. She always responded right away. She came to feed the animals every day and was such a pleasure to talk to and our grand-daughter loved helping her with the ducks and Frank the bunny. You will not need anything other than your food. From the fully stocked kitchen of supplies to the toiletries this Farmhouse had it all. The beds and blankets were so comfy and cozy. The towels were fluffy and soft. There were no expenses spared on anything. The home was so clean and bright. The pictures do not do it justice. The views from every room are just breathtaking. We loved sipping our coffee each morning on the back porch in the rocking chairs and listening to the cows and ducks. The bon fires at night were so relaxing to watch the twinkling of the lights up on the mountain top. So many special touches went into this home. Lisa even picks fresh little flowers from her flower bed to put into all the bathrooms which I thought was such a special touch. She allowed us to pick fresh veggies from the garden and even asked her farmer friend if we could pick a pumpkin for our grand-daughter. This place truly felt like home and we cant wait to go back!

Fantastic Farmhouse
The farmhouse was the most well equipped VRBO we have ever stayed in! Even supplies for making S’mores were included. We were so comfortable during our entire stay. We enjoyed Shenandoah National Park and managed six hikes in four days. The location is great!

Bachelorette weekend
We celebrated a bridal/shower/bachelorette get together in this beautiful house. We had the best time! House was beautiful! So comfortable! The property was also beautiful. We had professional bridal bachelorette pictures taken and they turned out awesome! We wish the wedding was here! The host was so amazing to deal with! There were even fresh baked cookies for us for our arrival! There are also duck and a bunny on the property! It was a magical time and can’t wait to bring my family back here!

Amazing Weekend Getaway at Beautiful Farmhouse
We had an absolutely amazing time at the Farmhouse. Lisa, the host, is extremely personable and welcoming. The house is perfect! It’s obvious the amount of time and attention that went into each space. The house and grounds are beautiful, and included everything we needed for a relaxing stay. From copious amounts of towels, kitchenware, to the welcome cookies and small outdoor toys for the kids, we felt truly welcomed and at home. Our group included four children ranging in ages from 6 to 14 and the loved the daily interaction with the resident ducks and bunny. Lisa made sure the kids were included in the daily feeding routine which brought so much joy. We’ve already recommended this house to everyone we know, even though we’d rather keep this hidden gem to ourselves. We’re already planning a return trip!

Shenandoah weekend getaway
Lovely renovated farmhouse with beautiful views of the park, and farmland. Perfect for our weekend getaway of hiking and adventure. ~3 minutes from downtown Luray, ~15 minutes from the Park's Thornton Gap entrance, all of the amenities you could ask for, and a gracious host. Would 100% re-book in the future.
