Lumpkin House
This is our second time to stay. They upgrades to the bedrooms were wonderful. We are on the area for a field trial and the location is perfect. We even hit up the Omaha Brewery as well.

Weekend Getaway
The house was very clean, and easy to find even in the dark. The host was very responsive and gave the check In instructions the morning of. We visited the canyon and it was beautiful and the house is very close. The only thing about Lumpkin, it is a very small town with not many food choices, so choose your food choices (either cooking or eating out) before you come. Overall the vacation was a success and we plan on visiting again, hopefully this house will be available.

So comfortable and well appointed
Our family came to Lumpkin specifically to hike the Canyon. The canyon was truly amazing. If you visit Lumpkin, check out the Richland Rum Distillery too; that was really interesting and just down the road. We are a family of 6 and generally use VRBO when we travel. From the beginning, we received excellent communication from owners. We had no issues upon arrival; everything was as expected. The home was super comfortable, spacious and well appointed. There was plenty of soap and detergent, coffee and fixings, plenty of firewood for the pit, pan spray and paper towels, paper plates salt and pepper, some other spices, toaster, mixing bowls, pans, utensils, extra bedding and blankets, towels, etc. It was very well stocked making our stay very relaxed. The home itself was nicely decorated and well maintained, obviously updated and clean. I 100% recommend. Thank you!!!

Memorial Weekend Getaway
We had a wonderful time and the home is beautiful. We were very comfortable and the proximity to Providence Canyon could have been any better, about 10 minutes. The home is as described and communication was immediate on the few times we reached out. Very gracious hosts and I would highly recommend it if staying in the area.

Convenient for Providence Canyon
We wanted to hike for a day at providence canyon and we were happy to find such a nice vrbo close by. We loved the TV room and large back yard. We enjoyed the fire pit. There is nothing in the town of Lumpkin but able to go to Columbus the next day for a family fun day.

Cute country home
We really enjoyed our stay at this charming country home in Lumpkin. It's so close to Providence Canyon and we discovered other cute little local things to check out, like Omaha Brewing, the Drugstore museum, and more. And the owners were very helpful and communicative!

We love your place, enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening and then watching Yellowstone before bed in that comfortable recliner! The only thing we felt was lacking was a traditional coffee maker. We aren't Keurig fans. We are kind of picky about coffee and had brought our own, but wasn't able to make it. The only other thing was the overwhelming air freshner... I unplugged it from the wall in the bedroom with the safe and put it in the top dresser drawer. My husband has allergies and I am very sensative to fragrances. But, once I unplugged it and turned on the fan, the scent tamed down. I did forget to plug it back in, so if you are having trouble locating it, now you know where it is... Thanks for opening up your home. Missy

Amazing property
I’ve stayed at many VRBO’s this is such a well layer out perfect place. Everything is updated and I would have stayed forever if I could have. We travel a lot hunting and this is a hunters dream as a place to stay. Millie stayed in contact with us making sure every was perfect and she is so kind going out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Definitely will come back.

Quiet Neighborhood, Close to Canyons
Cozy house and perfectly clean. Just a few miles from Providence Canyon and Florence Marina. Enjoyed relaxing on the large back deck, and sitting around the fire pit in the backyard. The neighborhood is clean and very quiet. Wish there were better restaurants nearby, but that's not the owners' fault. Recommend stopping at Piggly Wiggly for food supplies rather than planning on eating out. Also, if you're not comfortable with being surrounded by hunting "trophies" (deer, boar, coyote, etc.) you may not wish to stay here. Other than that, I'd recommend it to anyone!

We stayed for a short weekend getaway to hike Providence Canyon. The home’s location is great; it’s a short drive to the canyon. The newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen were gorgeous and the house was stocked with everything we could need including firewood and coffee for the kurig. The bedrooms were very comfortable and easily accommodated our group. Millie was great with communications and very prompt. We couldn’t connect to the wifi at first, and they took care of it immediately. Highly recommend this place!

Ended up here escaping hurricane Ida. Was so much nicer than I expected and was the perfect place for our family. All the extras, beautiful large outdoor space and everything is well maintained. Clearly meant as a hunting lodge but so nice!! Couldn’t have asked for a better place. Millie is so responsive.

This was a great little gem to stay out. It was within driving distance of so many fun adventures and pit stops. Couldn’t have asked for a more quaint little place. You can see how much love the owners put into it. And they add little touches to show their graciousness. We definitely want to return!!

The house was great! My kids loved all the taxidermy. It was just the perfect location to allow us to explore Providence Canyon and then be able to rest after lots of hiking.

Great stay and great location, April 2021
We stayed for a short spring break getaway and hiked Providence Canyon. The home’s location is great; it’s a short drive to the canyon and a short walk to restaurants and the downtown square. The home is easy to find. Millie’s communications were prompt and clear and the binder the owner’s provide has good information. The home has everything we needed, including loads of DVDs and cozy blankets.

Great spot for Providence Canyon
I rented this home for my parents and uncle for a Covid friendly vacation. They drove up from Florida and had a fabulous time. They spent one day hiking the canyon and the second day in Columbus. What a unique and clean home. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay. Close to providence canyon. Most of the town was shut down but nat rosette old buildings and imagine what it could be again one day. We liked the cabin feel of the home as well. Very comfortable. The pull out was more comfortable than the beds which were a little harder but some prefer that too. Would stay again!

We had not left home for a vacation since covid started. We wanted to see the Georgia Grand Canyon. The house was very close to the canyon, it was clean & comfortable. Our 7 year old loved having wooden floors & letting everyone hear his every step lol. The fire pit & grill was lovely. It was very nice to have a fully stocked kitchen to make eating cheaper on our family of 5. We were warned there was no grocery store in Lumpkin, which was nice. But Richmond has a piggly wiggly which was only 15 minutes away. The TV's were nice, I actually watched a non-cartoon movie. Which hasn't happened in many years during hours my kids were awake. The dvd collection was very nice. We left the town & the house feeling refreshed & relaxed with many new memories.

So clean!!! Great location. Peaceful.
Was getting together with a good friend to relax and hike for the weekend at Providence Canyon. I have to say, everything about this place we enjoyed! Everything you need, including a crock pot and all the necessary appliances/utensils needed in the kitchen, plenty of towels in the bathroom. Couldn’t have asked for more, we will definitely come back with our wives next time! Firepit was awesome as well. A hot dog stand and bbq joint both less than a 1/4 mile walk from the place. We had a great time at the house. Providence Canyon is only 10 minutes away. We enjoyed the fire pit and relaxing at the house. There are a couple of places to eat just a short walk down the street.

Cozy COVID Christmas Getaway 2020
Property - the owners have gone out of their way to make this a cozy rental and they succeeded! The beds not only had comfortable mattresses but the sheets were top notch - not cheap at all. The towels were also of good quality. The throw blankets were thick and warm as we snuggled to watch movies at night. The kitchen was completed stocked with needed tools. A cute, cozy home with plenty of room for us, great WIFI for the boys, and a nice neighborhood to walk the dog.

Ok stay
The property is in an extremely rural area with little to do other than the Providence Canyon park. The neighborhood is ok. Our first night we noticed surveillance cameras which was unsettling. The owners claimed they are there to “ensure the house rules are followed” which felt distrustful and intrusive. We won’t stay at a property owned by the same renters again.

We are very transparent about the outdoor cameras, and even have them mentioned on our listing. We check them to ensure no parties are being had on our property, and that the number of guests do no exceed the number in the booking.One of the best things about the home is it’s close proximity to Providence Canyon, and also the fact that it is definitely a reprieve, a true “get away” from all the hustle and bustle of life!

This was a great property for its proximity to Providence Canyon which was our destination. Although it's not an updated property everything was clean and neat and it was as accurately listed.

Providence Canyon
The property was very clean. We purposely booked the stay to visit Providence Canyon. The property is conveniently located only a few miles from the canyon., and it’s an easy drive. Lumpkin is a very small town. We walked to one of the only restaurants in town, and enjoyed walking our dog. We quickly learned that businesses close very early. So, plan accordingly. It was a quick trip and perfect get away.

Sisters Getaway
We enjoyed our stay at this cute clean home in Lumpkin. Hiked Providence Canyon, visited Eufaula AL and stopped at the Columbus River Walk on the way home. Perfect location and a wonderful weekend. Hope to return!

Great Stay!
This home was perfect for everything we needed. We had four people hog hunting and preparing their hunting land for deer season. They were able to make the short trip back each night to a comfortable place to sleep and shower. The two of us who didn't go with them were able to explore Providence Canyon, take the easy drive to Eufaula and the Chattahoochee River, and walk around Lumpkin just to look at the old buildings. When not exploring outside we had a great house with cable and wifi to relax in. I would totally stay here again.

Perfect home and location!
This is the perfect place to stay if you are planning to visit the Providence Canyon State Park. Overall this home was just what we needed; comfortable beds, big yard for our little dog, fully stocked kitchen for cooking. We definitely recommend!!!

Weekend Get Away
My husband and I along with our 2 dogs needed some time away. This was the perfect place and we are so happy we found it! The house was so clean and cozy. We really enjoyed hiking Providence Canyon with our dogs which was a very short drive away as well as being able to walk to lunch at the 4 Way BBQ! We definitely would like to come back sometime! Our our host were so easy to get in touch with!

This is a no frills property but it is clean and only 10 minutes from the canyon. FYI, there is no WiFi and there are only like 3 local tv channels.

Completely as advertised.
When we arrived, we found everything described was accurate and the kitchen was well supplied with essentials (minus food). We found spices, condiments, dishes, cooking utensils, cookware, etc. already there and ready. The property was obviously older, but nicely kept up, with a large back yard. The town is quiet and the people are friendly. If you want to retreat from the hustle and bustle for a while, this should do the trick nicely. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.
