Fantastic place to refresh
After a really busy year we took off on a whim. It was really great, the property was beautiful and there was plenty for the kids to do too (even though we went between seasons).

Myself, my husband, and my 3 kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was clean and beautiful and the property was conveniently located near a grocery store and some local attractions we wanted to see. We will be back!

Perfect girls getaway!
The house had everything we needed: we had fun watching DVDs, we cooked (the kitchen had everything), built a fire, hiked around the property. The beds were very nice and we all slept well. The washer and dryer were brand new and soap was provided. The pool was amazing, it was heated and you could swim from inside to the outdoor part of the pool! We had my friend’s birthday dinner at Little Mexico and I also highly recommend that! It wasn’t ski season, but we did the scenic chairlift behind the Clocktower Lodge, we rode it up to the summit lodge for views and coffee. The view from the balcony was amazing, especially the sunrise!
Spacious, very clean condo. We liked the ability to ski in-ski out. Kitchen adequately supplied, although electric range was variable in how it heated and the dishwasher was very loud. Clubhouse was small but Sauna felt great after skiing. Unfortunately the hot tub jets did not work. During our stay we had neighbors coming and going on either side of us. There’s not a lot of sound proofing and we endured dogs barking, heavy footsteps, toilets flushing etc. Had to ask one neighbor to quiet a dog, which happened with some success.
Pleasing mudroom entry to leave boots, & coats, well appointed kirchen, comfortable beds, loved the fireplace & tv . Best ease to slopes. Absolutely lock the door! - had an unusual entry while we were here by aSolitude maintenance? man -his vest was logoed w Solitude property & did not knock & entered with a "hello" announcing his presence claiming to check if our heat was on. He then went on his way when we told him all is well. We found this unusual being our cars were out front showing passes on dashboard that this unit occupied! In a nearly empty parking lot.Would rent again in this area.

As described except for the checkin process
Apartment was exactly as described, clean, organized… absolutely no complaints there. However, upon arrival we discovered that the touch lock on the door was not working and was simply open…After contacting the staff we discovered that we were supposed to pick up physical key at a totally different address - this part was never mentioned a single time in any of the communications. After checkout we also had to drive extra 7min out of our way to drop the key off.
To the management of the property- please communicate the check in process clearly

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Overall a nice place
The facility was very nice, clean and quiet. My only 2 problems were the reason I chose this place is because it’s off season and I knew it would be quiet. My whole objective of the weekend was to chill by the pool and hot tub. On the day of at 1:30 I got an email stating that the pool area was closed due to a flood that happened a month prior. This needed to be listed in the description or at confirmation. We were given a pass for a pool in another nearby facility. That facility was fine but not at all what I was looking for and never ended up using it. It was very much for families and I went away to get a break from the kiddos. The second was there needs to be info on how to work the lock keypad for the front door.
A lot to like here - Okemo is a great mountain (we were first timers), and yhe Solitude area is pretty well named, as it was a quiet area where the crowds did not come on Sunday and Monday ski days (even after an overnighr 3" of snow!), so that was great. The beds were comdortable, pillows good, etc. For the price, the kitchen and bathrooms should be a little upgraded - they seem circa 1990s. But it was clean, and the fireplace is very nice to have.Only 2 drawbacks are out of the owners' power: it seems like the prior resident or cleaner turned the temperature on the thermostat down to 60 prior yo us getting there, and it took maybe 10 hours to get it back up to even 66 in the main room-- after that, though, the temperature was fine. And whomever was staying upstairs (owner or renter) was terribly inconsiderate, stomping around and talking loudly at ** 5:00am!?!? ** (who does that!?)Would stay again, though, first floor places always carry the risk of an inconsiderate upstairs neighbor. Proximity to the slope was nice, though caution that the closest on/off slope is a fairly challenging blue trail - no way my wife could get down it, and my children would be a bit challenged. Getting to Solitude base, though, is a 30 sec car ride as an alternative.
Many years ago my husband and I had summer access to an identical condo to this one in Solitude Village on Mt. Okemo, so this past week was a real walk down memory lane! The condo was lovely…very clean and well appointed, with sweeping views of the mountains from the master bedroom and living room. The king mattress was very comfortable, and the numerous linens available were fresh, plentiful and high-end. The grounds of Solitude were exquisitely maintained, and while these units do not have AC, the unit gets a wonderful breeze with the windows open and we were more than comfortable with Vermont summer nights dropping to the 50’s and 60’s each night.
One thing we remembered about Solitude Village was the amazing clubhouse with gym, outdoor pool and hot tub, and we wondered if our memories would disappoint us nearly 20 years later. But we needn’t have worried. Far from being disappointed, we were amazed at how beautifully maintained the space was with stacks of clean, fresh towels and the pool that was absolutely pristine and perfectly maintained. We loved it and could not recommend this unit more energetically.
Vermont in the summer – what could be better? The location is the perfect home base to so many special day trips and we did as much as we could… Quechee Gorge, Woodstock and Plymouth Notch, Echo Lake and Buttermilk Falls – even a wonderful trip to the Hildene Lincoln estate.
This is a wonderful spot and we hope to return!
The property itself was exactly as described. It was clean, well maintained and even had firewood for the fireplace (nice touch).
The interaction with Vacasa was extremely poor. We had an issue with not being able to lock the main door and when I called Vacasa, they provided instructions on a Schlage, however, the lock on the door was a LockState. They could not find instructions to fix the issue. They finally told me someone would bring a key shortly. When we returned from diner 2 hours later, there was no key. I texted Vacasa and was told that I could pick up the key or someone would bring it - I opted for them to bring it to me. Again, no one brought the key.
The next morning I texted again, and was told the same thing, someone would bring it. I told them to leave the key under the mat as we had plans to go out. When we returned 8 hours later, still no key.
I texted yet again that evening and was told I could pick up the key or someone could bring it. This time I opted to pick it up, which I did and finally could sleep since the main door would now be locked.
I was frustrated because they kept apologizing and asking if there was anything else they could do and I continued to say that we needed the key because the key code pad was broken. They again "apologizing for the inconvenience" and asked if there was anything else they could help me with.
I will never use Vacasa again. You call California and your in Vermont. NEVER AGAIN ... Vacasa.
Our family had a great visit! The condo was in an ideal location and provided plenty of room for the family to feel comfortable! The clubhouse was a fun bonus! The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool!
Cozy condo, enjoyed the access to clubhouse and pool/hot tubs, slopes, and quick drive to town for essentials. Liked the ski storage right off the porch. Comfortable for a family of five teens for a ski trip. Even watched the New Years fireworks from the living area!
