This beautifully presented holiday property has wonderful views over fields and hills, and retains many original features such as beams, yet with modern touches throughout. Ideally situated in superb walking country, yet within only 4 miles of Ludlow with Worcester, Bewdley and Shrewsbury within easy reach.
Paradise for walkers, at the bottom of Clee Hill, surrounded by fields and with shared country estate footpaths this converted barn could not be better placed. The traditional exterior belies the fact the interior has modern features throughout, but still manages to maintain many original features. The tranquil decoration of the open plan living/dining room is highlighted by the colourful comfy sofas. With its wooden floors and vaulted beamed ceiling, it’s just the place to relax of an evening and watch the large satellite TV.
The tranquil decoration continues through the dining area with its large dining table, easily seating 10 and into the well-equipped kitchen. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the barn, the comfortable bedrooms have en-suite facilities, one of which is a wet room. Apart from the natural sounds of the countryside, this lovely quiet location is ideal for a good night’s sleep – leaving you refreshed in the morning. The food centre of Ludlow is only 4 miles, and foodies will love exploring its many gourmet shops, whilst the nearest shops and pubs are just 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles.

A very well presented house and had everything we needed for the week.
A very well presented house and had everything we needed for the week. My wife is in a wheelchair and the ramp to the front door and bedrooms with flat access throughout the property made it easy to use and get about. We were visiting family in the area and hope to use the property again.

Well-established, very spacious and comfortable, with all mod cons. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay in this interesting rural setting including the friendly heifers in the paddock next door, plus pheasants pecking around the cottage.

High ceilings meant cobwebs not completely removed.
High ceilings meant cobwebs not completely removed. The toaster was dreadful. The toilet seat in shower room was loose and had clearly been loose for some time. It was also difficult to stand up after sitting on the settees as they were so low. Would not do for anyone more disabled than us as we really struggled.

What a wonderful property with a great view.
What a wonderful property with a great view. We loved it there, and great having both bedrooms with en-suite. I would recommend this to people who love walking but also close enough to visit Ludlow.

A very pleasant cottage with a lovely view.
A very pleasant cottage with a lovely view. We would just criticise the showers. In one it was difficult to get the temperature just right and the over-bath shower was weak pressure.

We stayed at The Cow Shed to visit family in the area and it proved to a perfect location for this.
We stayed at The Cow Shed to visit family in the area and it proved to a perfect location for this. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the cottage. Local amenities are reflective of the rural location and the Covid 19 continued affect on opening hours etc. makes it difficult to assess them. In addition the lack of leaflets etc. for the same reason means some research is needed before arrival. Our one need was more serving dishes for the house as we cooked all our meals there due to the restrictions of Covid but in normal times there would be more than enough equipment. The owner is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the holiday maker. We enjoyed our visit, the view from the terrace is delightful, we had the joy of seeing a new born calf as we ate our breakfast one morning and there are lots of local walks. The location is down a no-through road leading to a delightful church and a farm. As this property is on a private estate there is the expected farm traffic - this was not intrusive at any time. We are planning to come back to this property.

We appreciated the spacious, comfortable and bright living area, and enjoyed looking out on to the excellent view of nearby Clee Hill. There are plenty of opportunities for local countryside walks from the house, and there is an historic church close by.
We had a lovely holiday in the heart of the countryside.

Whilst the Barn itself offered lovely views the noise from the traffic which went past the bedroom early morning/ late evening was not our idea of a good nights sleep. Far noisier than we expected didn't get a good nights sleep at all. Whilst spotlessly clean and a beautiful space to be in there were things we expected at the price we paid, Owner very friendly and helpful very pleasant. Would have been nice to have a welcome pack( some thing local to the area )and a comments book (couldn't find one).Very close to Ludlow and a beautiful setting just a shame about the noise so close to the windows..
