"My family LOVED this apartment. We were only there for one night but wished we were staying longer! You walk into a small door off the city wall and enter into a place you want to live. It is decorated perfectly with ample room to spread out and be cozy. The location is perfect looking over the wall, accessing the main street or just watching the tourists go by! The only thing I would like to give visitors a heads up regarding is that you're are above the main street which is fantastic until 5AM but it's an easy fix. We slept with many of the windows open which was fantastic! In the very early hours of the day the deliveries are made to the restaurants and such. This can be very loud, but once I closed our windows, I snuggled back into the cozy bed and was back in dream land."

"Excellent location, that's why you go there. Good: excellent friendly staff, location, price. Surprise: 5pm check-in is unusually late for a check-in time, to charge 15€ for 2pm check-in makes it fell penny pinching. Breakfast is also charged as an extra for 15€, standard cold euro-breakfast of breads, cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs. It's in their own restaurant, a crêperie, you would think a nice crêpe for breakfast but no, big disappointment. The less good: extremely quiet area (good) but when people walk in the halls it very noticeable. When the shuttle buses start going back and forth (early AM) the whole room shakes and lound rumble (something to do with how the street is built maybe). The standard old room: no AC, means a very very hot room and with only 1 small window (no screen) it makes it a hot and muggy night."

Luxurious Gite in tranquil surroundings with private heated salt water pool

"If you want peace and quiet in a tranquil, rustic countryside setting with a village only a 5 minute drive or 30 minute walk along a disused railway then this is the place to go. The gite is well appointed, the kitchen is modern, has two cookers and is nicely stocked. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms with amazing showers. The lounge/diner is huge and the kids appreciated the WiFi and TV. The gite stayed beautifully cool even when temperatures were in the 30’s outside. The pool and grounds are gorgeous and very private. The pool is a great size and heated to the perfect temperature with seating in the sun and also in the shade. The chickens, dogs, cats, donkey and horses were a welcome treat, but Barry would keep the well behaved dogs away if you wanted. As a host Barry cannot be faulted, very friendly and attentive but also respected our privacy. Couldn’t have met a more lovely chap! Local shops friendly and two supermarkets in the village with a small market on a Friday."
