"The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff—they are amazing! Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. The biggest downside is the location. The hotel is quite far from the city center, which can be very inconvenient, especially if you plan on spending most of your time sightseeing and exploring the main attractions. Overall, the staff really made the experience a positive one, but I would definitely consider the distance from the city center when booking."

"Loved the location of this hotel. Beach is within a couple minutes walk, also there are some great restaurants and coffee nearby. It’s also really close to the tunnel to walk into the city center. The staff were very kind and helpful as well."

"Good hotel in an excellent position. Staff are extremely pleasant and obliging and the food is very good. Our room was clean and quite spacious but I felt that the bathroom and balcony were beginning to look a little tired, something we didn't experience on our stay last year."

"This classic hotel right on the beach at Santander is definitely the place to stay. We had a sea view and it is wonderful looking at the constant activity on the beach. It has obviously been updated but maintains its period grandeur, however some details are still a little dated. Buffet breakfast was only OK, they had run out of natural yoghurts and we weren’t even there so late and told me that they would have some more the next day! The waiter did find us cuajada, which was appreciated. It’s in the centre of the bars and other Sardinero life"

"La casa del artista Sardinero is a lovely apartment in the beautiful Sardinero area of Santander, a short walk from the city’s wonderful beaches, cafes, restaurants and shops. The city centre of Santander and everything it offers can be reached easily on foot via the fascinating Tetuán tunnel.The host, Renata, is very responsive and helpful. The check in/out process is smooth. Highly recommended."
