Very clean, well-kept house; spacious back yard with lovely plantings. Host was very attentive but not intrusive. Short walk to the bay, coffee shop, an Audubon and other beautiful opportunities for hiking. Overall, a very nice experience. Would recommend.

Let’s Walk to Baywood!
Good quiet neighborhood. Nice neighbors. Extremely comfortable beds. Comfy furniture. Great backyard for our dog. Owner provides paper towels and toilet paper plus your shampoo, conditioner and soap. A nice selection of spices and olive oil plus coffee and sugar/sweetners and coffeemate. Washer and dryer plus laundry detergent also provided. We hope to return again this Spring for another stay!

Amazing
We loved our stay. Neil is the most amazing host ever and even helped us finding a sitter for our dog. So we can see Hearst Castle. The backyard is magnificent, the beds super comfortable and I fell in love with the shower. We will come back!

Everything and More!
This home had all we needed for a great vacation, and even more! The home had great appliances, soft comfy beds, couch and 2 recliners to sink into while watching tv. The bay was a short couple of blocks away to stroll to. The owner is super helpful in sending tips on what sights to see (Farmer's Markets!!) Beautiful back yard with bbq's and lots of seating outside. Awesome place, we can't wait to go back!

Cute place near the bay
My wife and I and our two corgis spent three wonderful days in Baywood Park. The house is clean and had plenty of room for our needs. There is an enchanting backyard that we spent a fair amount of time in as well. The dogs loved it and so did we. The place is about 4 blocks from the bay and nearby dining options. We enjoyed morning breakfast at the Nautical Bean, dinner at La Palapas and had a great calzone at Nardonne's. The place is a short drive to the Elfin Forest which was a fun hike and a slightly longer drive to Morro Rock and shopping and dining. Lastly, we had a delicious meal and a great hard cider at the Olde Alehouse in Los Osos. It was a fun trip.

Perfect!
Great stay! Nice little house with all the comforts of home. Neil allowed us to bring our furry family and it was absolutely perfect for them! I’ve got a couple of old Rescue girls that travel well,but need the calm vibe of a home vs the hustle of a hotel. The back yard is fenced and beautiful. Easy to clean up after the dogs were out there. We cooked a few meals there and everything you’d need was there for that(even some basic condiments in frig). Found some great new friends at one of the local ale houses in town. Truly was a perfect visit to the Central coast! I hesitate to leave such a great review as I want to go back and not have it booked! Lol!!

Great Stay at Neil"s Place
We had a great stay at Neil's home. Home was very comfy and looked recently remodeled and updated. Not too many homes have a built-in fire suppression system, but this one did! Beautiful and relaxing backyard, with your choice of 3 BBQ to use. Overall, everything you need will be in this house for a comfortable stay at a great location.

Amazing stay!
We had an amazing time staying at Neil's place. The house was the perfect size for the four of us and our two small dogs. Speaking of dogs, Neil's was one of the few affordable dog-friendly places in the SLO area. The backyard was absolutely beautiful and had three different grills to cook up anything our hearts desired. Awesome! It made for a perfect place to relax and unwind after our adventures around Pismo and Morro Bay. We really appreciated how clean and comfortable the place was as well. It had modern amenities with a nice touch of charm. The beds were super comfortable and we slept like babies. We also loved the converted garage room! The proximity of Neil's place to bars and restaurants was great as well. He provided us a list of some of his favorites and they did not disappoint! We had a great time at Merrimaker Tavern and Beerwood. During the day, we checked out The Olde Alehouse. Great live music and incredible food. One of the best parts of our stay was how accommodating Neil was. He was always very responsive to our messages and extremely friendly and helpful. We accidentally left some items at the house and he shipped them back to us at no charge. Now THAT is an awesome host. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be staying at Neil's!

Great place to stay
The place was great. We were there to kayak and the place was perfect. Dinner in the back yard was great. Well stocked , both in terms of cooking implements as well as having condiments. The only reason I did not give it five of location as it is in a development which worked for us. Everyplace we wanted to go was within 10 minutes or less. Neil was easily reachable and helpful.

Perfect vacation
We couldn’t say enough good things about this house and our experience overall. Amazing location, great house fully equipped, and just a perfect spot for a vacation. Amazing running trails, so close to the beach and lots of restaurants nearby. Not to mention Neil is a great host and everything was so easy. We can’t wait to go back.

Property was very nicely located and accessible to water for kayaking. House was clean. Garage was great for storing kayaks and other gear. Backyard was great for our dogs. Nice swing to relax. Used gas bbq twice and that was nicely maintained: not rusted out and with clean grill. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Overall great time, and would stay again!

The perfect getaway!
First of all, communication with Neil was the best experience we have had in renting a property! Fabulous host. Property was clean, with comfortable beds and all the goodies you need. The game space in the garage was a blast, and the yard was heavenly. Los Osos is a gem of a town, and this house is the same. Will return for sure!

What a cute place, lovely backyard space, and clean! We stayed for a week while searching for a new home in the area. It is a great place to explore San Luis Obispo County. The house is also walking distance to restaurants and the bay. Neil was very helpful and responsive. Thanks Neil!

Great trip to Morro Bay
I traveled down to California with my family and 2 dogs. The stay was great. We had a BBQ and great back yard. The beds very comfortable. House just renovated and well equipped with everything we needed. Great location with short walk to the bay. I had to work remotely and the desk set up wifi worked well. I highly recommend it

Was going to give a good review but not anymore
Place is clean and we'll supplied with nice sheets and towels. Not sure if that's because the owner lives there time-to-time or for guests. We were going to give a good review, but had a heating issue and the owner was accusatory towards the issue. It was fixed within two hours but not fun. We also lost part of our deposit to a plumping issue which was after we left and claimed by there cleaner which I believe the cleaner caused. My suggestion to anyone renting this place take pictures and/or get secondary insurance.

I have never had to deduct from a deposit before. My cleaner came right after you left and found standing water in the kitchen sink. It took 4 hours for my plumber to snake it. the battery died on the thermostat. My property manager lives next door and fixed it asap. I lived here for 2 years until recently with no issues. All my guests have had positive things to say.

Cozy house close to the bay.
We enjoyed our stay in the Baywood area of Los Osos. The house was small, but well equipped with plenty of cookware and cooking staples. Lovely backyard with grilling options. The street was a little busy as it is a main thoroughfare through the neighborhood. The location was convenient walking distance to the water and to local restaurants, stores and an amazing bakery.

Great location, wonderful backyard
We rented this house right before Thanksgiving and were very happy with everything. We brought our two young teenage daughters and two dogs and had a great time. The location is great, easy to get to SLO, Avila Beach, Morro Bay and Hearst Castle. We walked down to the little town in the bay for breakfast, it was a nice short walk on a beautiful day. As others have said in reviews, the beds are crazy comfortable! I’d like to know what mattress Neil bought!We used the fireplace a few nights and it was so cozy while watching movies on the tv. The house is very well appointed, the kitchen had everything we needed as well as the bathroom. The backyard is so beautiful and peaceful, I could have sat out all day under the umbrellas enjoying the weather and peace and quiet. Neil was very easy to communicate with and gave us a lot of good suggestions for restaurants, dog beaches, etc. We definitely recommend this property.

We really loved this house, exactly as pictured & described. Very clean & complete with everything we needed. Great location. We loved walking to the bay every morning, so nice & relaxing. The house is centrally located, only a few minutes to Morro Bay & a short drive to other neighboring cities like SLO, Cambria, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach, etc. Neil made our stay really pleasurable. Very friendly & accomodating. He was always available to answer any questions we had, very quick response. He recommended the best restaurants & places to go to in & around the area which made our stay so much more fun! Very nice and clean home in Los Osos. Looks like it has been recently remolded and in a very professional way, I might add. The backyard is very nice and our little dog enjoyed running around outside. The yard is fenced and we never had to worry about him getting out. Many times I find that the photos of a place are deceiving. This is NOT the case with this house. The home is very much as represented in the photos. I will say that the home is in an older part of Los Osos but we never had any trouble and always felt very safe. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in the Morro Bay area.

Recently remodeled, quiet neighborhood, huge back yard, awesome man cave/game room, clean. Our host was very responsive and friendly. We had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick getaway on the central coast.

Four of us enjoyed our stay here very much. . Comfy beds, fun game room/garage with darts & cornhole. A few challenges with operating TV/cable box but Neil was quickly responsive. Located close to Montana de Oro State Park which was spectacular! Wish we'd had more time to explore Los Osos. Recommend Sylvesters for burgers!

Cozy Place to Stay
This cozy house was a great retreat for our family for 4 days. It is clean, well managed and the owner is always available for questions and help. We found a well-stocked, organized and comfortable place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom ample and the kitchen easy to make meals in. The living room is great for sitting quietly. Cute house in Los Osos.
Loved our stay. It was a cozy place, friendly community. Loved walking along the bay to the beaches and parks. It was a close drive to beautiful Morro Bay to see amazing sunsets and eat delicious seafood. Montana De Oro State Park just south of Los Osos is a must see. It is gorgeous! The beaches, the Bluff Side Trail, and the sunset were highlights that we will treasure.

I spent 5 days at this lovely Los Osos home with my dogs , we LOVED it ! This newly remodeled home is fabulous , it's beautiful and very comfortable , but I must say the yard to me was the most impressive ! It is large and the landscaping is beautiful , nicely done and the dogs enjoyed it in spite of the rain! The location is perfect and the neighbors are very nice and friendly .. As for the owner , Neil , he was very friendly , helpful and promptly responsive to any of my needs during my stay ... A true host ! Thank you, Neil , for allowing me to enjoy your home , it was a wonderful experience and I will be back .. Sooner than u think ,, LOL

A very wonderful home and well kept with upgraded appliances. Loved the bikes, games, fun garage, huge backyard and new washer And dryer. The convenience of the house made it distraction free to fall in love with los osos - the views, hikes and surrounding offer a lot of peace and serenity. lovely, comfortable and cozy!
We were here for Christmas, 12/23-12/26 total of 3 nights, I came with my mom, two small dogs and we really enjoyed our stay. The backyard is fenced and was perfect for my dogs to sniff around. The beds were so comfy! and the house had great amenities, it's modern has nicely kept equipment and it is very clean. It was centrally located near a supermarket, Morro Bay and some delicious Thai food at Café on 2nd, (the actual Thai restaurant, same owners, was closed) I would definitely recommend this house and I would definitely return and stay here. Although we didn't use any of these things, the garage had board games, darts, a table and bikes, how awesome is that? Thank you again!

Cute house, but has a pest problem
When we got to the rental I was pleased with the house 'cause it's very cute compared to the rest of the street which is pretty run down. Upon arrival we noticed ants in all the rooms but the kitchen. We found ant spray under the sink, but unfortunately I also found droppings and mouse traps under there. Disgusting. I texted the owner about it, but all he said was that he'd take care of it after we left. Not very comforting. Also the neighbors dog barked viscously at mine every time it went in the backyard. That was pretty annoying. Neil seemed like a genuinely nice person though. He contacted me several times to offer suggestions on what to do in the area. Overall we enjoyed the area, but the pest issue was not ok.

Heidi, I'm sorry you had a bad experience . If I would have known how uncomfortable you were I would have had sent somebody over right away. The builders left a hole for a mouse to come through. It was attracted to the trash under the sink. The traps were under the sink but the mouse was already gone. I have since clogged the whole and put in a trash can that seals. I put in 7 traps under the sink with 3 different designs with no signs of a mouse or droppings under the sink in the cabinet. I have removed the traps knowing the problem is solved. Also, when the weather changed I saw a couple ants on the floor in the bathroom. I didn't use the ant spray and got rid them with out any poison. They are gone now and I have removed the spray from under the cabinet. As far as the neighbors dog goes, the fence around the property is secure and 5 feet high. I'm sorry if the neighbors dog scared your dog. I would be glad to offer you a free weekend to make up for your uncomfort. Neil

Very happy with the home!
We thoroughly enjoyed the bungalow at Los Osos! It was just perfect for my husband and me, plus our adult son, who came on vacation with us. We liked the location because it was centrally located to many engaging places at the coast. Each day we had a new place to discover. I also appreciated the use of the washer and dryer, since we were on a 3 week vacation going place to place. The upgraded renovations made the home a lovely place to stay, and the beds were very comfortable. My only suggestion is to add black-out curtains to the bedroom windows. The blinds in each of the 2 rooms did not keep out the light, and we woke up every morning at dawn. I would also change the picture that identifies the property on the VRBO website. Currently, there is a picture of the area of the harbor which is on the water. The actual property is not on the water at all. It was a bit of a disappointment at first.

Superb! Looooovveed it!
All I have to say about this home is WOW. We absolutely loved it! This has been - by far - our best ever experience with VRBO or AirBnb. I really think that the pictures on this listing DO NOT do it justice. On this trip we had myself, my husband, our single friend, and our small French Bulldog. It's a two bedroom home, so more than enough room for all of us. Some reviewers have complained that this house is too small?? This place is bigger than my condo! Lol. The beds were so comfortable, as well as the couch and easy chair. The backyard is beautiful (my Frenchie loved it), the kitchen/bathroom and entire house is updated. But one of the best parts is the garage/game room. It's so cool in there! There are board games, corn hole, darts and even bikes for you to use! We had never stayed in or been to Los Osos before. We go up to SLO probably two times a year for vacation, and found this place by chance. I'm glad we did! You are so close to the water (kayaking anyone?) and the walking is excellent! Although we are a younger couple, we are not really into the crazy night life. Our idea is fun is to stroll around town during the day (either SLO, Morro Bay, Paso) but then relax back at home at night with some takeout and local brews. We had some cold nights on our stay and loved being able to curl up on the couch and watch movies with the heat on (which works great BTW). I really can't say anything bad about this place. Neil was in constant contact with us and had some great local recommendations. We didn't want to leave this place and will definitely be back! I highly recommend this rental!

Perfect every which way !!!
This house is perfect !! May have been built years ago, but is 100% brand new now. 2 wonderful comfy beds, cozy couch & chair in the living room in front of a great TV & fireplace. Warm throws to wrap up in on chilly evenings. All new kitchen, washer & dryer, wi-fi, and a game room in the garage. Easy to find, close to the back-bay & walking trails, and only about 12 minutes back into San Luis Obispo for all that awaits you there. So glad we found this place, so much nicer than your standard motel room. Whether you're athletically active, or just want a place to kick back & watch the sun rise & set with a good book & glass of wine, this is the place. Will definitely be booking here again on our next trip back to the Central Coast.

Beautiful, and Clean
If you want to feel at home while your away from home this is the house to rent. My daughter and I stayed two nights. Not only was it nice it was very clean, had a few exercise things for us to use, and everything was within 15 mins. The owner recommend some things for us to do and called us to make sure everything was okay. I would recommend this house. Many thanks, Bobbie
