The front desk ran my card so many times that I couldn’t use my card the rest of my stay. My car has 2 dents on the passenger side. I would like the entire $378 credited back. I have to spend many weekends in Los Angles and need this to be the reason why we don’t do business anymore.

This is a no nonsense property with a friendly vibe, super clean rooms, and worry free service. If you are a budget traveler who appreciates easy access to public transport and conveniences, you will not be disappointed.

Overall good stay
Location felt sketchy, but not too familiar with LA so it might’ve been considered a good spot. No USB ports in the outlets. Pillows were uncomfortable and bed could’ve been better. Could use a remodel, is a bit outdated. No counters in the bathroom, but shower felt great (good pressure). One way into the courtyard, to get to the rooms and pool, and one way out, from the main entrance (I liked this, boyfriend didn’t).

The front exterior the hotel looks abandoned like it's in the middle of a deserted desert town. The entire front is completely full of 4' high weeds and large weed growth over the entire parking lot. For a couple of hundred dollars this could all be cleaned up. Unbelievable that the owners of this place just don't get it. Also, there was no TV Service. When you turn on the TV, all of the stations say to call Dish Network and pay your bill to get service re-instated. I guess that's why they can't afford to pay for minimal maintenance. Other than that, the rooms were clean and very good location.

Place is clean and small. Water pressure for shower was great. Bed was a little uncomfortable and you could hear everything outside and in te next rooms. So getting sleep was a bit difficult

Room was fairly quiet as it faced into an interior courtyard.A front window was available to get fresh air.The property is near the MTA Hollywood/Western rail station and several bus lines for easy transit.

Stayed for two nights. The pictures definitely are deceiving in terms of how lively and clean the place looks. You get what you pay for and so if you're traveling on a budget, it's not too bad. If you want to really relax and be comfortable, go to a nicer hotel. 2.5 stars at the most.

Room ok, hotel exterior needs alot of work.
We drove by 2xs before seeing the sign. The room was good enough, not old or dirty. But the whole outside is a gorgeous old Hollywood hotel. But it has seen much better days. A coat of paint and cleaning up the overgrown plants everywhere would make this place look beautiful again. Junk stores under the stairs when you first walk in really turns you off from the place. All in all, we slept well, the room stayed clean, and we had a fridge, so we were content. I hate to see such history not being taken care of though.

This place is located in a great spot - close to Hollywood, and just down the street from Griffith Park. The building is older, but the important parts have been refinished (floors, showers, paint), and it's clean as a whistle. Would stay again!

Hollywood on a budget.
If you want to stay in Hollywood, and your on a tight budget, you can't find a better deal on hotels.com. Besides a comfortable bed, the shower is the next most important thing on my list. Plenty of hot water with pressure to rince quickly. Fridge and coffee in room. Laundry and microwave down next to office with a PC! Hot tub and pool 👌👍.

The Coral Sands Motel is a little rough around the edges but was still a nice place to stay. The exterior had us a little concerned but we were pleasantly surprised with our room being both updated and clean. At a great location, the Coral Sands Motel is a unique option for those who don't want a traditional cookie cutter hotel experience.

I love that LA still has independent motels like this. The lobby looks a little bleak, but then you enter into an airy courtyard with a pool and hot tub. The bed was comfy, wifi fine, but the high point of the room for me was the shower: large, strong water pressure, lots of hot water. Fun neighborhood especially for Thai food, just up the block from a Metro station.
