For our first international trip since March of 2020 (we all know why!), we could not have asked for anything better. Heading to LA for a concert, we wanted to stay somewhere we hadn't been before, and the Hollywood Hills seemed like a magical locale...if only we could find a place. When we saw this listing on VRBO, it seemed "too good to be true", but in fact, it was exactly as advertised: a cozy, quiet, affordable oasis in the heart of the Hills, with majestic views of the city, and hiking distance to the Hollywood Reservoir, Hollywood sign, Griffith Park etc.
With a nice-sized main sleeping room, large bathroom, and even a separate sitting/TV room, it was more than enough space for the 2 of us, especially since we were only there for 4 days. A patio or outdoor seating area to relax in at the end of the day would have been the only additional thing we could have wanted, but honestly, we spent so little time in the room, it didn't really matter.
The hiking trails in the immediate vicinity are epic, and just down the hill onto Beachwood, you have the fantastic Beachwood Cafe, along with a couple of awesome little local bar/restaurants (ie Birds) a bit further down towards Franklin.
As the unit is professionally managed, communication with the property management was prompt and very detailed, right from the time of booking. We've had self check-in nightmares in the past, particularly with door codes not working, etc, but we had absolutely zero issues, and we would love to stay here again in the future.
If you're looking for a truly unique LA experience, you can't go wrong here!
