Decent stay in Downtown LA
Decent place to stay near Downtown LA. The house was good with a complete self check in process. The instructions were clear, but it's important to provide the identity information ahead of your stay to ensure a smooth check in. The house was very clean however the place had a strange smell(possibly from the cleaning liquids used by the cleaners) which went away the 2nd day onwards.

Worst Experience Ever!
Hello, This is the message I sent directly to Abode. "I'd love to say my stay was pleasurable but unfortunately, it wasn't. I spent a lot of money for a week-long stay which was uncomfortable, to say the least. Here is a list of issues my wife and I had during our stay: I'll start with the entire process of arranging my stay. I've been a LONG-TIME user of Hotels.com and never in the years I've used that service have I had some much intrusive information asked of me for a short-term rental. The amount of information you requested of me was completely unnecessary for a rental property I paid for in advance along with some other asinine fees you asked of me. The parking situation was untenable. As a property management company, one would reasonably think that you would at least make arrangements for your customers to have access to inexpensive in and out parking considering there's a parking lot right next to this building. Having to continuously move my car and find new parking spaces multiple times per day didn't make my experience a good one. And while I understand you don't control the public parking situation; you do have the ability to make arrangements for parking for your customers with private lots. I sent a message during my stay about the broken couch which was so uncomfortable to sit on or use at all. Although I did receive a response nothing was done about it nor was any refund or discount offered for this inconvenience." There was more but it won't fit

The apartment was spacious. Beds were very comfortable and it was very clean. Staff was also very communicative and helpful.

too complicated and stressful
The check in process was very very stressful as I had to provide information at the last minute. I felt life i was treated as a potential suspect. I had to fill out all bunch of forms, send a copy of my credit card, send a copy of my driver license and picture of my HOLDING my driver license. I had to call them management team many times to get everything correctly and they charged me extra $60 for a quest who was visiting us during the day.

Definitely a hidden gem. Frim the outside you would not think it was so nice. Apartments are so nice. We loved our stay. Definitely using again.

Nice property
The inside is very nice and comfortable with a living area, kitchen and etc. It was clean and well stocked. Had trouble finding it from the outside as it looked like the front door was for some place else or the bldg was nonexistent. Walked by the door multiple times before finding it.

Hidden Gem if you don't mind a little grittiness
I love this place. I feel like it is a hidden gem in downtown LA. I frankly was hesitant to give it a rave review because I want it to be available every time I go to LA but I have to give credit where it's due. If you don't mind a little grit- it can get sketchy at night and the alley behind the building can get a little spicy. However, the apartment itself, the rooftop and the amenities downtown are all worth it. The parking attendant next door, Cliff, is also one of the coolest humans you'll meet.

Overall, my stay was really pleasant! It was close to the crypto stadium like it said on the listing (I had attended a concert). The hosts were really nice and accommodating, always checking in on me! I really appreciated it a lot! They had everything ready for me and my guests. I was a bit sketchy at first after reading reviews because they do ask for your ID and your cards. But I realized that they’re their own thing and not really associated with Expedia (in case of any damages). This is an apartment, not a hotel, by the way. I guess the only con for me would be the parking situation. There’s no parking on the premises but there were parking lots around the area. The hosts were nice enough to send me a link to find parking near the area, greatly appreciated! I would come back here again!

Do not be mislead by the pictures of the nices bars, lobby, front desk. Check google street view and see foryourself. The building is full of graffiti, broken windows, place is not safe, smells bad, and you might get robbed when getting there. Still waiting for my refund as I did not stay there. Complaint will follow.

The unit itself was fine. Way better than expected. Would stay again. Did feel heard and got me the extra stuff I requested. Despite having a really good response time to emails, any issues cannot be handled right away if at all. There is no person on site to help. Heads up, you will be locked out if not completely out by your checkout time.

The place itself looks as pictured the room was nice. This place is not a hotel there is no lobby no in person communicator. Basically it’s an apartment complex and they rent out some of the room (or majority from our floor). Before arriving they asked for very detailed information and it made my group uneasy. They wanted the info for each guest stating such as full name and birthdate and email and they were given short form to sign agreeing to conditions. THEN they ask for pictures of the payer ID and wanted a picture of the card being used (it was very sketchy and honestly I was ready to see extra charges on my card) but we already drove 3 1/2 hours to get here. The room is nice but the area around it is misleading the windows in the room are searched up and the view outside isn’t pretty. The roof top area is actually really small. Due to not having a lobby we had nosiey neighbors are second night and didn’t have a way to contact them other than through phone.

WORST PLACE TO STAY AT ! It was a nightmare ! Arrived to the building and the door was not locked so a bunch og homeless people were staying in the lobby! The door to my apt would not open and there was no one in the building to help out! With all the homeless around we left right away! Called the hotel to explain the frustration and they still have not called back! They didn't even apologize and the took our 3 nights payment and never even called back! DONT STAY HERE!

Could not gain access to the property, entry was broken and no one on site to resolve the issue. Parking next to building was a safety nightmare with people attempting to break into vehicles. Communication leading up to the reservation was a nightmare as well.

Greetings, while I would be delighted to address your concerns directly, it would appear your review is anonymous. Unfortunately, there was a temporary issue with our door, but I am glad to report the concern's resolution. While the maintenance issue was occurring, we did have a plan to ensure all of our guests could come and go as needed and sent regular updates to our guests regarding the replacement status. Regarding parking, there are many private lots in the area. We're unaware of any security concerns with the parking options, as we've yet to receive any direct complaints, but we would be glad to speak to you about your concerns and welcome you to reach out to us. Concerning communication, we pride ourselves on communicating with our guests promptly and work hard to ensure our guests have a positive experience. While I cannot look up your reservation due to your review's anonymous nature, I would be happy to look into this further and invite you to email us directly at stay@abode.co.

Good place for a good price.
Stor og fin leilighet med god beliggenhet sentralt DTLA. To dobbeltsenger i separate «rom» og fult utstyrt kjøkken. Fikk tilsendt kode til leilighet rett før og god kommunikasjon med utleier. Vi benyttet oss av gateparkering rett utenfor leiligheten og parkeringshus i neste block. Merk at DTLA er mer slitent enn før.

The space is very nice, well furnished (maybe some side lamps should be helpful and pleasant, especially if you wake up at night and have to move in the bedroom ) , it offers privacy for everyone and the kitchen provides everything you need. We found some problems in dialing our code for entering the house at our arrival, but the staff by phone was very helpful and ready to solve the problem. Unfortunately the dialer was out of charge and in a few days we had problems again, but they solved the problem in a few hours. The shower was a little bit tricky in its functions , it should be updated. The neighbourhood isn't so safe and clean , but this issue regards all downtown, I suppose... But in any case, we enjoyed our stay.
