  • Sandpipers is a 150 year old ex-fisherman's cottage ideally situated in the heart of East Looe. It is arranged over 3 floors, set in a quiet traffic free lane and only metres from Looe's sandy beach, picturesque working fishing harbour and bustling promenade, with all the town's facilities on your doorstep. Sandpipers has been extensively refurbished, including a new kitchen and wet room, whilst keeping it’s original character. It has extensive living space within as well as outside seating on a planted, open courtyard and benefits from a free reserved parking space in the Millpool carpark nearby.
    The stairs are a little steep, as are all ex-fishermans cottages in Looe, but may not suit less mobile guests.

A lovely cottage that was really close to the beach. We had a very comfortable stay and the cottage had all the amenities needed. It was great to have a kitchen and dining area as well as a separate lounge. Great to have free parking too . Good communication from the host prior to our stay.

Fantastic location, so close to the beach. The cottage had everything we needed. Beds were nice and comfortable. The stairs took a bit of getting used to, you really have to pay attention when using them. We would happily come and stay again in this delightful fisherman’s cottage.

Great family house in convenient and lovely central location

A fully functional clean house in central location convenient for harbour side activities, local beaches, shops and restaurants. This has it all but in quiet backstreet for a peaceful end of day. We stayed 6 or 7 times now and will be back again.

It was as advertised 'a tranquil fisherman's cottage' but i really do think that it should indicate that it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as both sets of stairs require extreme caution. The bathroom would benefit for having an extractor fan to remove steam etc on windy days. A welcome pack would be useful containing all of the manuals and routines. That said we enjoyed our stay and the location right in the centre was perfect.

Very good cottage in a great location

This was a brilliant little cottage right in the middle of Looe. Offloading and loading the car was no problem as you could pull up very close. The designated parking is a little distance away but that gave us no problems. The cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing stay and i was close to the restaurants and bars. Great place to stay.
