"The Old Bank in Cygnet was such a charming place to stay. The staff were genuinely friendly & helpful & we were made to feel at home. Everything we needed was provided & the room (the Stirling Suite) was beautifully styled. The ensuite bathroom was gorgeous. Breakfast in the adjoining garden-room cafe was superb, and the apple orchard out back was lovely to explore. The accommodation was well-placed for exploring the many niche shops in the village on foot. I always say you can’t go wrong in a town that has a good butcher, and in this case two! A pity we couldn’t sample their fine-looking products. We really couldn’t fault this place - meticulous attention to detail and great service made for a memorable stay. Highly recommended!!"

"Well located to Mt Fields. It is a Large 2 BR even if we only needed 1. Very dated, poorly maintained, and dirty. Kitchen cabinets and cutlery drawer dirty. We had to wash dishes we were going to use. We decided not to cook so as not to have to wash everything. There was only one wine glass and when my partner washed it, he cut his hand and we had to bandage it. It looks like someone tried to repair the rim with a glass cutter and this resulted in an extremely sharp edge. I reported it to the office as we thought it should be thrown away. Washing machine sounds like belt is going. It was half full of questionable water so we had to run an empty cycle first. Turned out it also had a leak and the water wouldn’t stop dripping so we shut Off the water to it. Dryer took 3 hour and clothes were not dry yet. It’s not working properly. There was a used towel in the bath. The smoke alarm kept going off due to the dryer. We had to vent by keeping front door Open. Throw pillows stained. Spare pillow looks like it got retrieved from a dumpster. We have been traveling for 2 months and have stayed in 21 different accommodations at this point. This is the only one that fell below and way below our standards for basic cleanliness. Do not recommend. "

"Quirkiness everywhere in this property. Very unique in you need to take the time to actually see everything. Good location to see Russell Falls and surroundings without having to travel in/out of Hobart. We stayed here after travelling the Central Highlands which is also stunning. "

"Check-in was confusing, as there was no one at reception on arrival. When I called the provided number, I was instructed to open a locked room that was already occupied by another guest, which was quite concerning. There were also no clear instructions provided for the check-out process. Since my stay, I have been receiving emails stating that payment has not been made. This is incorrect, as I paid in full at the time of booking and have receipts to confirm this."

"The kitchen to be shared with eight people is so inadequate and not workable, a tiny fridge, to take turns at the 500cm workbench is terrible tiny & just a microwave. Called this place a lodge and no common room and the eating tables are outside with no shelter! Yes one wet morning!! One could dine next door but closed Monday and Tuesday and the winter months "

"Check in was easy and the house was spotless- everything one would need for a stay and as it was a wet day the heating being turned on ahead of our arrival was very welcome. Whilst there was no fencing for a puppy Nelson was quite happy to wander around and thoroughly enjoyed the area.Michelle was a wonderful host. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the view when we arrived (Rain) but when itcleared was amazing. Annout of the way place with heaps of charm."
