The villa itself is a historic home and the family offered us the chance to read about its history, which made our stay even more memorable. "When we arrived we received heartfelt apologies that the heating was not working (and autumn chill had just set in). There was however an open fire in the dining room. The meal was acceptable, but not outstanding. I don't know if we were suffering from an end of season situation. There was no offer of any reduction from our bill as a measure of good will."

"Great property in a fantastic location for a stop over after the tunnel when heading south. It is actually a retirement village, but they rent spare apartments to visitors. Nice (small) pool and sauna. Plenty of restaurant options in town, even on a Monday. Would stay again"
