Longa Island Holidays from £159

Definitely needs some updating! Bed was not comfortable. Had a cute little sitting area by the windows looking over the water but the lights didn’t work in it. The upstairs halls smelled of cigarette smoke, but that may have been from guests in another room that were not complying with the non smoking policy. On the positive side, the food in the restaurant was delicious. I had the curry and it was excellent! And they had a good bottle of Malbec to go with it. The staff were very nice and attentive. The view from the hotel is right over the Loch which is lovely. Hopefully they will fix the place up a bit as the location is good and the views are gorgeous.

We love coming to the Clunie Inn. Thank you to all of your team.

Overall, the property itself is lovely and offers good amenities, but several aspects of our stay fell short, especially considering the price point. Cleanliness was a noticeable issue upon arrival: the floors had clearly not been properly hoovered or mopped and were quite dusty, and we found dirty dishes put away in the cupboards. The sleeping arrangements were also disappointing. The sofa bed in our flat was broken and unusable. Furthermore, it wasn't made clear beforehand that guests must request to use the sofa bed in advance, so no bedding was provided for it. A word of advice to future guests: bring extra towels and bedding just in case, as any additional linens come with an extra charge. Customer service felt rather hands-off. Staff simply pointed us toward the information binder in the flat rather than offering direct, helpful assistance for some of the key details, such as where to drop of garbage on the day of departure. Given the rates charged, the overall value for money wasn't quite there. With better attention to housekeeping, functional furniture, and more proactive guest communication, it could be a great stay, but it certainly could do with improvement.

Clean hotel and rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very friendly staff. Restaurant and bar available. Delicious hot and cold breakfast. Is a very good value

The ambiance of the property was fabulous. It is an old building and was charming. The main bed was comfortable BUT the futon's were actually chairs that folded out and they were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. There was no staff available. It was all contactless. The bar was the same no people. If you didn't have cell phone to use the QR code you could not get a drink. The breakfast if you didn't pay for it in advance was not available as expected. I found the place charming but unwelcoming. However the location was amazing.
