The room seemed modern and clean but there was a strange bad smell in it when we arrived. The windows open, so we were able to air the room several times. The bathroom was clean, had an issue with the tub drain stopper-it would not stay open. The sheets and towels were very clean.

We had a disappointing experience at the Rosewood Georgia. When we checked in we had to wait 15 minutes in line to check in. Staff the first night told us they were tending to things like Sending us anniversary bubbles and then turn down service that never appeared then our room hvac system was broken and the room was 75 degrees F overnight and into the second night making it uncomfortably warm for sleeping. We asked for help the following morning and the hotel sent someone but the issue didn’t get resolved all day and we asked for help again around 4pm at which point the manager was very friendly and apologetic which was a welcome change from the tone of the prior messages with front desk staff. He sent us a bottle of wine and some complimentary bites in our new room, also very kind. We ended up moving rooms to the exact same room we had but come to find out it had nicer amenities than the prior room (better quality bathrobes), clocks by the bedside table etc that the other room didn’t have at all which seemed strange at a 5 star hotel. Our experience with the live music in the lobby which we were So excited for was that it was very loud And the crowd talked very loud over the music making it hard to enjoy the talented musicians. Overall the space felt less like a boutique hotel and more like a larger mainstream experience that didn’t match the price tag for the room and restaurants on site.

They were hosting some folks from the Ugandan Embassy and had protesters outside. This had apparently gone on for 2 days prior to our stay. I talked with the Manager who was literally the only great staff member this place seemed to have, we discussed how maybe informing guests of what they are walking into would be nice information. She agreed and included breakfast in our stay which was nice of her. After her hours ended, things got interesting. 2 of the towels had stains, as well as a stain on the outside of the shower curtain.We went searching ice and found a machine in a dilapidated room with mould and 3 dirty towels / rags. The ceiling was visibly wet from a leak, tiles missing from the floor and visible mould on the roof and baseboards. We went downstairs, got ice elsewhere. While downstairs we saw and heard a nice looking younger couple explaining they had been trying to check in since 3. It was now 9pm and they had returned to the front desk with concerns that their room was leaking from the ceiling. The staff member shrugged and said, “you will need to go back to your room.” The young girl replied… “this is weird.” And walked away. The hot tub was luke warm at best! If you think there’s a balcony. You may be in for a surprise. It did not have enough room to have your feet stretched across it. Way less than a foot of standing room. I’ve stayed with many competitors in the area - cheaper, better service, better building, and way better facilities. Won’t be back- EVER
