The Shack at Long Beach is a 1-bedroom, 1-bath coastal pad with a far-out bonus: a detached guest house/ library/ nostalgia loft that also offers an extra space to crash. This 0.36 acre property offers plenty of privacy, and plenty of lawn for the fir babies to play as well. The cherry on top is that The Shack also has easy beach access. Inside, it’s all about good vibes and bold design. Picture a psychedelic palette with funky patterns, mellowed out by touches of midcentury modern cool. Every corner has a story, every detail is designed to delight—it’s not just a beach house, it’s an experience. As a graphic designer from Portland, OR, creating The Shack has been my passion project—a chance to blend my love of design, color, and playfulness into a soulful little seaside retreat. Whether you’re here to surf, stroll the longest beach, or just chill with some tunes, this spot was made to keep your trip smooth, stylish, and unforgettable. The bean bag has a full size mattress inside. Simply zip it open and lay it out. In the guest house, the two chairs on the ground level fold out to single size beds. The bed in the nostalgia loft is a Japanese style floor mattress. It is so close to the beach which was a great place for walks. I needed a week's peaceful retreat and this is just what I got - had a great time recharging my battery. Long Beach has wonderful restaurants and shops. I also greatly enjoyed the Discover Trail and rode my bicycle up to the North Head lighthouse.
