Discover the remoteness of Long Beach from this rural ocean front 2-bedroom house in the midsection of Long Beach Peninsula. With 2 queen beds, twin futon in the sun room and a large couch in the cozy living room/dining/kitchen lined in cedar, a wood stove and big screen TV with WIFI, this property offers a comfortable stay for all guests, kids and their dogs. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like outdoor hot tub, electric grill and firepit (1st night's wood provided), sun/mud room with washer dryer and laundry tub, full size kitchen and dining for 6\. Go beachcombing, clamming, fishing or just hanging out on the beach via our private path. Listen to the sound of the waves at night without noise from neighbors or traffic and watch the planets, stars and milky way come out in the dark. Bald Eagles are a daily visitor to our property and they and numerous other birds can be seen with our spotting scope from the comfort of the living room or along the numerous paths on the property. We are halfway between Ocean Park and Long Beach. There are grocery stores in both towns. Willapa Bay Wildlife refuge is 3 miles away, Ledbetter State Park and Cape Disappointment are 6 miles away. Lewis and Clark National Park is nearby. Other points of interest include Oysterville, Cranberry Museum, Oyster Farms, Kite museum, Columbia Pacific Heritage museum, Willapa heritage farms, Port of Ilwaco and charter fishing, Ilwaco Saturday Market, Marsh's museum, Jacks General Store and Discovery trail. 45 minutes away, across the Columbia River, are numerous activities and shopping in Astoria and Seaside. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Please keep your pet leashed when outside the house as there is wildlife (bears, elk, coyote, bobcat, deer), livestock and other dogs on the property. Please clean up after your pet, especially in the yard, along paths and walkways and on the beach. Please crate your dogs if they are being left unattended at the house or leave them in the temperature controlled sunroom closed off to the rest of the house while you are gone. We have some crates available if needed. There is a hose and towels for cleaning up as needed after you have been to the beach. There are blankets in the sun room you can cover the furniture with if your dogs are prone to joining you on the couch. There is parking near the house for up to three cars or an RV. There are electrical and water hookups but no sewer for RVs. There is a 50A outlet for electric vehicles. If you are bringing a horse, boat or vehicle trailer there is parking and turn around at the barn, about 500ft east of the house, please do not bring them up to the house. You can board your horses on our property or at the nearby RedBarn stable and use our private path for a ride on the beach. Two indoor 12 X 12 stalls and two outdoor 12 X 20' runs are available to rent on the property and eastern Oregon grass hay is available for purchase. It offers everything you could want for a relaxing stay — a private hot tub, BBQ, and fire pit.Although attached to a larger home, it sits down a private driveway and feels peaceful and secluded. The owners were incredibly kind and easygoing — which was a blessing since we had an unexpected car issue that made a bit of a mess and required repairs.The surroundings are beautiful and very quiet. It is very well stocked in the kitchen...with spices and coffee fixings. The bathroom was also well stocked. The walk to the beach is private and very close, with amazing views of the sunset. From the art table, to the telescope...my grandson loved it. It was very dog friendly, which made the trip better for all of us. They have everything you need for your stay and all you have to do is bring your food and personal stuff. The place has a great homey feel that made us instantly comfortable. Yhe hot tub was not very warm but i think the peiple before us must not have showered off before use cause there was quite a bit of sand in it. Still a wonderful place to relax and watch the sunset. The wildlife is a huge plus! Really enjoyed watching the eagles! Highly recommend this place! The hosts provided everything we needed during our stay. The ocean is a short and easy walk thru the dunes and native plants. The path is maintained. Beautiful sunsets from the beach and the patio. Trails around the property to walk our pup.On the morning of our departure we saw a bald eagle at the edge of the dunes. We loved our very peaceful and quiet time at SeaDance cottage. We saw a gorgeous eagle, osprey, lots of birds, and rabbits! Location was perfect as it was easy to get to the main part of the town, but far away enough that you did not have to deal with lots of people and traffic. Could not have asked for a better place to stay, with very attentive host - Nicole was quick to respond to questions, and I REALLY appreciated how clearly everything was marked in the house so it was easy to know what you were doing. The host has clearly thought about everything guests could need/want. Want to go to the beach? There's a backpack and a latern if it gets dark, and beach chairs outside. Need to entertain your dog? There's a leash and a ball thrower. Want to have a cozy night in? Help yourself to books, movies, and games.The location of the property was absolutely wonderful for getting away from it all. This is not on the property owner in the end. We arrived and the house was not cleaned. We later found that the normal cleaning person was not available and they had to get someone else to do it and they hadn’t showed up. They showed up after we got there and we left for 2 hrs came back and it was still really dirty. Like poop on the toilet and nothing wiped down. We ended up having to clean everything ourselves. The property owner made it right in the end. The house is great and nicely secluded. All the amenities were perfect as well. ##### Jonathan N. It’s away from the hustle of the town of Long Beach without being too far for an easy visit. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a toaster oven and an espresso or specialty coffee along with the standard cooking equipment and utensils. There’s a smoker griddle outside that’s also very handy. It’s a short walk to the beach which is fairly secluded though you’ll notice that cars can legally access a large stretch of the beach. This is not a big detractor since the beach is so expansive. There’s plenty of room for everyone to coexist. As promised this cottage is quiet and in a beautiful setting. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach and you’ll see wildlife coming and going around the grounds. Bald eagles and other birds are everywhere and you can view them through a well placed spotting scope. The books, board games and local artwork adds a charm that you might not otherwise have in a VRBO. It’s cozy and has what you need without being ostentatious. The bedrooms are small but adequate and the bed was comfortable. There is a single full bathroom, which can be a bit challenging with two couples or a small family. Minor updates to a few things like bedroom carpets and a newer television would make it even better along with a correction of a few minor maintenance issues. It’s excellent to have a washer and dryer tucked away in the sunroom. We also loved that it’s dog friendly ##### Steven B.
