Easy to disconnect from the world. About as good as a cabin in the woods can be yet close enough to civilization. Plenty of hiking trails nearby that are not overtrodden.
Cabin was extremely clean and had all the amenities we needed. Perfect location for hiking, Cumberland falls, and close to Corbin and London. Host was very accommodating and responsive. Will be back!
Waterfall on property was awesome. The generator was easy to use . Everything was as expected and host was very friendly and easy to communicate with . Overall had a great experience at the cabin. Loft was a bit much up and down after long days off hiking but manageable , but did offer great sunset views.
Quite and peaceful a perfect place to recharge the cabin was clean and comfortable you have everything you need there is cool places to explore on the property as well Jeremy was very friendly and provided us with trail info and some local history of the property definitely coming back in the future
Great secluded spot in the woods. The cabin was clean and cozy, with a spacious porch with a great view of the forest and hills. Gas generator provides electricity and running water. Jeremy was an A+ host, friendly, courteous, and helpful.
This is a terrific little off grid cabin in a beautiful, secluded location. Surrounded by national forest, it has everything you need to get away from it all. It makes a great base for your hiking adventures. The host was super responsive and helpful, providing several hiking ideas nearby, including one to a great little waterfall on the property. A deck with a lovely view of the sunset provides a peaceful place to enjoy some quiet reflection. We enjoyed hearing whippoorwills and several varieties of owls at night. If you are looking for an off grid adventure with the comforts of home, look no further!
Perfect little slice of Heaven. Super easy check in. Hosts have went above and beyond on this secluded, beautiful property! I almost dont want to tell yall how great this place is so I can keep it a secret for myself! I highly recommend bringing an ATV if you have one. The property has so much to explore! There are two Dollar General stores within 20 mins. One of these Dollar Store locations, the one that is near 25W, is like a tiny grocery store with produce and bigger selection. We didnt feel the need to venture far off the property as it is starting to get cold, but I cannot wait to come back in the summer to spend the day at Laurel Lake. It is the clearest, most beautiful lake Ive ever seen. There is a water pump for your shower, toilet and dishes and the hosts provide water for drinking. There is also a generator to power your electric. Hosts provide gas. This was our first off grid experience and it was a unique experience that was no problem for us at all. Think of this as luxury glamping. Spend the day in nature, grill up some dinner, grab a hot shower, sit around the coxy campfire until it is time to go snuggle up in the warm and comfy bed. The worse part of this trip, was leaving! We cannot wait to come back! I cannot say enough about how fantastic the whole experience was. Thank you Steele family for giving us all the oppurtunity to experience complete relaxation and explore your beautiful land.
The cabin is great. Running the generator we were able to keep the refrigerator cold, the hot water hot, use the coffee maker, and run the mini-split. A full tank of gas in the generator easily carried us through the night. Fueled up the next morning and the generator ran for the day. Great porches on the cabin, I only wish they were covered as it was raining while we were there so didn't get to enjoy. There is a gas grill available as well. While it is a one lane gravel road going back to the cabin(s), any passenger car would be fine as it is very well maintained.
Off-grid cabin. Generator. Felt like we had the whole daniel boone national forest to ourselves. Was perfect for the 2 of us. Renter was great. If you like solitude this is your place. Lots of peace in those hills.
I almost hate to say this but the place is awesome! Reminds me of our off grid place in northern Michigan, well thought out for a weekend vacation! Hopefully we can get another reservation before too many people find out about this place!
This was one of the best Camping Trips I have ever taken. Shared a remarkable weekend with my Son in Law and Grandson. Definitely coming back….. and bringing the 4 Wheeler this time ! Chuck

It was a nice place but was not informed that it was ran by a generator. It also had wasps and tics inside the cabin. The guy has been supposedly trying to contact you guys about a refund but says hasn’t heard anything and isn’t responding to me anymore.
My husband and I stayed for a few days while we passed through Kentucky. It was plenty of space for just the two of us. The desription of the cabin said off-grid, generator for a/c and power, and small so we were not expected much but we were surprised at how comfy everything was. There is a couch, small table, and a sink. Not enough room to cook in there and no microwave. But we went out to eat each meal so that wasnt a problem. There is a small fridge to keep our drinks cold. The bed is in the loft accessed via a ladder. It was cute and comfy. There is a window that I thought was pretty cool. Check-in/out process was flawless. The owner was very welcoming and sent us hike ideas which was very helpful. The cabin is close to the public beach so you can spend a day swimming in the lake, take a hike to one of the many falls, or visit a local bourbon distillery. The shower had enough hot water to take one shower. The other person had to wait a little while for the hot water heater to do its thing before they can shower. Bring bug spray because there are lots of bugs but you are in the middle of the woods so that's to be expected. Perhaps a thermacell unit if you plan to sit on the deck. Bring a pop up hamper for dirty clothes. Space is sparce so that hamper was helpful to keep our dirty clothes gathered. There is a 24 hour laundromat in corbin. Have fun and enjoy. We had a great time!
