Excellent open plan living and separate area for bedrooms. The villa is perfect for families with plenty of activities on site and in the surrounding area. "Our family of 6 adults stayed at Villa Mari Aurelia Dec 4-7 on our way from Florence to Milan. Christina and her son, Elia, were fantastic hosts. Communication before and during our visit was prompt and very helpful. We took advantage of their recommendation to visit Monte Isola, a 5 min walk and ferry ride from the house. "Good value for money and friendly host. I would give it 3.5 stars. The property has a lovely garden and view of the lake but best suits someone with a car as there is a limited bus timetable to and from Varenna and is not suitable for walking. We travelled in October so perhaps there may be better transport options in the summer months. The room had everything we needed but could do with some updating."
