Absolutely lovely!

Spent 4 nights at Haus Panoramablick to explore the surrounding Alp region, and had a fantastic time! Stayed in room with breakfast included in the price. The bed was comfortable and despite it being very warm outside, the room stayed at a decent temperature. Ilse, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful. Walking to the village center for eating etc. takes about 10 minutes. For my purposes, Lofer was perfectly located with Salzburg, Berchtesgaden and Innsbruck within driving range for a day trip. Also, it’s easy to spend a day in the surroundings, for example taking the gondola up to the local skiing area for some hiking in the summer. I received a guest card upon arrival which I could use to travel for free in the gondola. All in all, I would love to come back at some point, three days weren’t enough!

An excellent place to stay.

I would highly recommend the Haus Panorablick. The hostess was very helpful,kind and courteous. I only wish that I had been able to spend more time there.

Super hyggelig pension - super service!

God hyggelig mindre lokal pension. Fine værelser med teresse og udsigt mod bjerget/dalen. Super morgenmad med flot udsigt over dalen fra spisestuen. Opvarmet rum til ski og skistøvler. Værtinden Ilse ekstremt serviceminded, hjælpsom og forstår at skabe en hyggelig familiær stemning. Bl.a. blev vi opfordret til at smørre en madpakke til køreturen hjem + vi fik en lille gave med.Helt sikkert et sted vi vil bo igen hvis vi skal overnatte i området såvel sommer som vinter

Just Do It

If you haven't stayed in a German or Austrian Privatzimmer before, Haus Panoramablick in Lofer could be your gateway drug. The young owner is charming, professional, and beyond helpful. The rooms facing east have a view that doesn't stop and which changes with the time of day and the weather dramatically. Fabulous breakfast: you won't need another thing until dinner. The refrigerator is amply stocked with beer, water, and the delectable Austrian white wine of choice, Grüner Veltliner--check off what you take and pay for it when you leave. You get a special card that lets you ride the cable car for free up to about 4000 feet. There you find a hiker's paradise--with little huts serving food and drink dotting the landscape. I can't speak for Lofer in the winter, but in late spring, summer, and fall, it is glorious. And staying in Haus Panoramablick is eminently affordable.
