The land to the south of Hygge is adjacent to Caywood Point, part of the Finger Lakes National Forest. Hiking in that direction is suggested. The land to the north of Hygge is privately owned. Sounds carry on the lake, please be mindful. Hygge accommodates parking for 3 vehicles. Like much of the lake front homes in our area, the terrain is rugged. The road to Hygge is steep and has several sharp turns, we recommend AWD or 4WD. Please drive slowly and with caution. Boat trailers, campers and vehicles larger than a standard SUV or Pick Up will not fit down the road. Occupancy: This property is closely monitored for responsible renting. The maximum occupancy of each home is the number of guests allowed on the premises at any given time. This includes both day and overnight guests. Note: 1\. Smoking is not allowed in any rental property. This includes vaping and e-cigarettes. 2\. Homes are not handicap accessible, unless stated in the description. 3\. Air conditioning is not available unless listed as an amenity. If available, air conditioning is considered a seasonal amenity and is only available May 15 - October 15. 4\. The house is in a great location with amazing views of the lake. The house is modern and cozy with all the amenities you would need. It was an open, bright, inviting space for all of us to get together and also have our own private space. The dock was an added bonus....a spot to sit in the sun and watch the wildlife. The house was very clean and well kept overlooking the lake. The road to the house was a crushed gravel with 3 sharp turns. We had a Jeep grand Cherokee with 4WD but didn’t feel like it was a necessity like some of the other reviews I read. It was recommended but not necessary maybe only in winter months? The steps down to the lake maybe a challenge for some people but we tried to minimize trips up and down. Kayaks were in good shape and easy to put in the lake. Did not use the hot tub, sauna or the outdoor gas grill but they looked in good condition. Overall I would highly recommend this property and had a wonderful stay with my friends ##### Caroline M. Secluded & right on the water, but still near all the great wineries and breweries. We loved the view of the lake as you relaxed on the porch or took a dip in the hot tub. You need to be an off-road expert and the recommend 4 wheel drive. Pretty much a must. We had 6 people in a dodge caravan. There was no pulling away from the house with people and luggage. Had to had a couple people walk up to a flatter part of the road. Front tires spinning. Forget it if it was raining. Again. The house was great.
