Ground Floor: Open plan living space. Living area: Freeview TV, DVD Player Dining area. Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer First Floor: Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Bathroom: Bath, Toilet. Garden with garden furniture.. Two delightfully located cottages on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and in stunning countryside that share a cobbled courtyard. Llangadog itself, 3 miles, is a charming village with pubs and eateries. Close by is the spectacular Red Kite Feeding Centre and buzzards also abound. Salmon, sewin and trout are found in the crystal clear waters of the rivers and mountain streams; the area is idyllic for walking, cycling, bird watching, fishing and carriage driving. National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Aberglasney Gardens are not to be missed. The ancient market towns of Llandovery, 3 miles and Llandeilo, 9 miles offer history and places to eat whilst Llandeilo also boasts an antique centre, interesting shops and castle. Pub 3 miles. Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.. Both properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Use of owner’s washing machine (by arrangement with owner). Grounds (shared). Parking (shared). Bike store (on request). There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property. There is limited internet signal and/or mobile reception at the property. There is intermittent signal outside, depending on your network. Should you wish to phone someone to let them know you have arrived safely and can't get mobile signal, please ask Mark to use his phone. The shower attachment over the bath is solely for the use of washing hair and is not suitable to use as a shower. If your dog is accompanying you on your holiday, please ensure you have included the dog in your booking (Fee payable of £30 per dog). We love dogs and have our own dogs on site. If your dog is enjoying a holiday with you, we would appreciate the dog not being allowed to; run wild through the flower beds, sleep in/on the beds, climb on the furniture or be left alone when you go out. Up to one dog only at a charge of £30, unless a second pet is requested and confirmed at an extra £30 at time of booking. Should a pet be added at a later date please contact booking company to confirm & make payment before travelling. The only downside (if your a techno freak) is that there is no internet connexion and only one spot in the garden that a phone signal could be found, and then only a breaking signal , but must admit, that was part of the pleasure , feeling somewhat cut off from the world. Once travelling of course, and out of the valley, you can connect with the outside world...if your desperate ! Too far from town to walk if you want to eat out but the kitchen was reasonably well equipped and we had no problems cooking for ourselves. The owner is friendly and helpful but you need to be comfortable with 2 very friendly dogs in the shared courtyard. If distance from town isn't an issue this is a great location for bagging Welsh hills. Very basic accommodation . Just about big enough for two people. Main drawback is the so called shower which was no more than a hand held shower head connected to the bath tap. There was no shower screen or curtain so the bathroom was liable to become soaked. The bath was poorly sealed to the wall leading to water leaking down the wall into the ground floor . There was no hand hold so the whole set up was a safety hazard . The oil fired boiler supplying hot water was vented beneath the kitchen and bedroom windows which gave rise to some mysterious odours when running.
