This hotel is very close to the city center, where courts, local police, national police and first responders are located. So, naturally, it is safe area to be. High mountain peaks are all viewable and hiking trails can lead to the local hill top that is approximately 11,000 feet above sea level, roughly 2 miles of walking. Once you’re on the top, you can see the whole Huaraz city." They helped us find a tour operator, which was fabulous! The only downside was that there was no heat in the rooms or the bathroom. It gets chilly at night at that elevation. It would have been nice to have some heat in the bathroom so you don't get too cold getting out of the shower.
