Was very excited to be staying in this hotel after reading reviews but was very disappointed. There is no swimming pool as stated. The breakfast was not hot and half empty, and we tried going to breakfast early too, the staff were rude to other hotel guests. The carpets were dirty in the halls and corridors. The decor was worn. The bedsheets didn’t fit the beds properly and the shower heads desperately needed repairing/replacing. I would not return. Our room was all black decor and very dark, the phone to call reception did not work and when I asked for extra supplies like towels and hangers they did not appear. Air con also not working. Had to ask to move rooms but the second room was not much better. This hotel desperately needs better staff and refreshing. The hotel theme was based on titanic but it seems the last time it was given a good top to bottom clean was when it sank! The only good thing was location. It’s perfectly positioned to see the best of Liverpool.
