I planned a getaway trip with my 10year old son during his spring break and planned to visit Purple Orchid in Livermore, California. My son was really excited to be away from home and wouldn’t wait to get in pool. We reached @ 1pm and requested manager, EDITH and she right away rejected saying don’t come for check-in before 3pm and called my son “You Indians” ( rolling her eyes ) . I said we just checking if that’s possible and we can wait till the room is ready for us. We went out for lunch and came back at 3 pm. No one was on the counter, EDITH came around 3:10/3:15 or so and asked for ID and Card. My license and wallet was stolen 3 weeks back so I showed her the digital copy which is usually accepted . But I guess, she was in mood to give us the room due to us being from India origin and she did racial profiling and rejected us and did not check us in. My son was in tears when he realized that he won’t be able to stay but that has no impact on her. I showed her other papers to prove my ID but she was really adamant and have made her mind not to give us the room. My 10 year old was very disappointed as he was planning to spend time in pool and to have some fun time away from home . He kept crying for an hour or so and was really dejected with the way EDITH treated us which has never happened in his life before. I hope there won’t be an ill effect on his mental/emotional health due what EDITH said to him and her behavior towards him. I humbly request the management to act
