Totally enjoyed our trip. The hotel was quaint. The staff was so accommodating and very helpful. The room was just right. Over Littleton and all the shops, restaurants and the breweries. Look forward to coming back in the future.
It’s a great place to stay when in Littleton. Staff was wonderful and they love dogs.

The history of the place is interesting but it was not really updated to be convienant for travelers. It was clean but there was a used Q tips on the floor next to the trash. Refrigerator was leaking and made a loud noise throughout the night and I had to use the GFCI outlet at the sink to charge phone due to few outlets available. Overall its ok for one night passing through but I would not want to stay for a long period of time. Safe and clean with a friendly staff. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants downtown but in need of updating.
We arrived late but the staff had a key waiting for us with an information package. We were pleased with their warm service and friendly staff. Very welcoming. Beautiful property and very homey feel.
This is a very old inn. Floors are all very creaky and uneven. We were on the ground floor and it was really noisy. Once we finally crashed, (quiet hours) the bed was very comfortable and I don't think either one of woke up until the morning!
One of my favorite places to stay while in Littleton. Smack in the center of Main St., so very convenient for hitting the shops and restaurants. The staff has also been top notch, helpful and accommodating.

This is a classic old school inn with a ton of history. Staff was amazing and the room was comfortable and clean with a free continental breakfast. Just needs some serious love in spots (like many old bldgs).

I appreciate the fact that you have kept the historical character with the hotel with that said if you’re going to stay there certain things are outdated so just know that when staying there. I would stay there again. Staff was amazing. Location is great.
I love the historic character of the hotel. So many historic figures and celebrities stayed here. The building is beautiful. It’s so fascinating. Not at all boring like a typical hotel.
I really enjoyed the charms and convenient location as well as all the quirks. Centrally located to all the shops and restaurants. Very clean. Great staff.
Here are things to be aware of:
No elevators. Wonky old floors and stairs. If you have mobility challenges, this might not be the place for you. I had a room on the top floor (4th floor) so I had to take all the stairs up. It wasn’t a problem for me, but it could be for you. Be sure to know what floor your room is on when making a reservation if this is important to you.
The breakfast choices are really grab-and-go. The only protein choice I saw was yogurt. Otherwise, it is pastries and muffins. No fresh fruit. I ended up at the Littleton Diner down the street for breakfast, which was great.
Our room was very clean and up to date. The air conditioning was needed and made the room comfortable. All staff members were pleasant and very helpful. A lot of history is here at this landmark.

We like to check out older hotels and so we thought that based upon the previous ratings, we’d give this one a try. Desk person was helpful and pleasant. She did let us know that the heat would be turned on shortly and if needed they would provide a space heater. We had gone out for dinner and when we returned the heat still wasn’t on. So we called the front desk and a space heater was provided.
We passed on breakfast to go option.
Overall, the facility is showing a lot of wear, an apparent lack of maintenance, and deep cleaning.
We were in room 13 (!!) where there was a large melted area (8-10”) of the carpet.
The room was clean, bed/ mattress was reasonable.
Of note —The bathroom door doesn’t close completely. The towel rack and the toilet paper holder had screws pulling out of the wall. The ceiling is a mishmash if assorted dropped ceiling panels in poor repair.
There is no elevator so the stairs are heavily used and worn.
Stairway to the parking lot was grubby.
