A long country driveway will lead you to the pristine, well-manicured home and sets the tone for your eagerly anticipated lake getaway. The front yard (road side) is HUGE and perfect for frisbees, yard games for large numbers of people or group/team play! Upon entering Dock Daze, you are welcomed by an open floor plan, featuring cathedral ceilings and a magnificent wall of windows that showcase beautiful lake vistas and surrounding nature. The fabulous kitchen will instantly grab your attention! A chef's dream--preparing the perfect meal while taking in whimsical water views and surrounding nature! Stocked with almost everything you need to feed a small army, the kitchen is accented by maple cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances & an incredible island bar! A great gathering place for the entire crowd to eat, drink and be merry--Bon Appetit! Ample seating for both indoor and outdoor dining. Access the oversized deck just off the kitchen-dining-living area with comfort and relaxtion in mind--a wonderful place for your morning coffee or sunset cocktail. The walk-out basement is the ultimate hang-out place; fully outfitted with everything you need for entertainment! We're located on a HUGE protected waterfront cove with great water depth that will accommodate a boat of any size! The boathouse features trex decking, a covered lounge area and storage room w/ bar serving window. A mini-fridge, table & chairs make it convenient to enjoy countless hours of fun in the sun fishing, swimming, floating, kayaking or boating. Limited chairs and kayaks are provided for your enjoyment! At the end of the day, gather around the fire pit for endless conversations, laughs and....marshmallows! Bringing or renting a boat? Cleats are provided to tie off your own boat, jet ski or a rental (The boat slip is for owner use only). You will need to bring your own bumpers and lines to secure your watercraft. We ask that you bring enough life jackets to enjoy the fun and ensure proper sizing for your particular crew. The kitchens are stocked with one roll of paper towels, one trash bag for the kitchen trashcan, trial-size dish soap, two dishwasher pods and 1 sponge. Otherwise, we have a strict "no pets" policy. The house, like 99% of all lake homes on Lake Gaston, uses a septic system. This system is a finely balanced biological system. Please help us keep it working flawlessly by flushing ONLY toilet paper. Renters are responsible for any damage caused by misuse. 3\. Bow-Riders and deep draft Wake Board boats need to check their Hummingbirds to ensure adequate depth in all coves. Pontoons should have no issues and everyone is welcome to tie off at the dock with rental boats.(make sure to bring your bumpers!). 4\. Culverts & Bridges: Be sure to lower your bimini top when going under bridges or through culverts. Appearances can be deceiving! 5\. Security Camera Disclosure: We take your privacy very seriously. The property is great. Easy access to the water and dock. The kitchen has everything you need plus more. The two levels were great for our group. Food Lion and Piggly Wiggly were pretty close and where this house sits on the lake was great. I would suggest some more comfortable outside furniture though. ##### Heather C. The only issue we had was with the swim ladder going from the lake onto the dock. It folds and is rusty with sharp edges, right where someone would grab. I think it’s something the owners should look into fixing because it seems someone could pretty easily injure their hand getting out. I would also like it if the chains on the doors that go outside were high enough so the doors could be childproof. Seemed a little pointless to have them low enough for my 2 year old to pull out. That aside, I would still stay there again as the layout was perfect and the property was clean and well maintained.
