Happy Place - in the Heart of F.D. Roosevelt State Park

"From check-in to check-out, everything about our stay was perfect! The chalet was even more beautiful in person than it looked in the pictures. You can tell so much thought and effort has gone into every little detail—from the matching lamps and cozy décor to the deck lights that made the evenings feel extra special. The entire place was beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly cozy.We also loved the huge collection of DVDs and games. It was one of those places where you could tell the owners really thought about what would make their guests feel at home and enjoy their time there.Our only tiny struggle was adjusting to the queen bed, but that’s really just because my husband and I are used to sleeping in a king (and we both snore, so we appreciate our personal space!). That’s definitely a “us” problem and not a reflection on the chalet at all.Overall, this was genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a VRBO. The chalet was beautiful, thoughtfully put together, and such a wonderful place to spend a few days. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"My experience and stay were great had a nice clean room with a beautiful view but when I was checking in the person at the front desk didn’t give me my ID back at check in and I didn’t realize it until I was back home in another state. Wouldn’t stop me from staying again….chances are I’ll be there the next time I decide to visit the area because it’s such a beautiful place."

"The house is beautiful inside and out. I loved having my coffee on the porch in the mornings watching the horses and listening to the birds. The grand kids loved the pool, practicing their dives.. lol, and petting the horses. Emily and Chance we very kind and answered all of our questions. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home with my family."

"My group really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. It’s extremely Peaceful and Quiet. One observation that the cooks in the group made was that the kitchen could use some updating, the tile on the floor needs a replacement, limited space to move around, the gas stove needs a thorough cleaning. Some of the huge family room windows need more covers especially at night; Overall the Lodge is an Excellent choice for vacation. We’ll Definitely be coming back again in the near future"

"Perfect place for family! Bedrooms were big and comfortable. Absolutely beautiful cabin inside and out. Spacious so you weren’t up under each other. We had 10 people and it was great! Plenty to do within a few miles. Definitely will visit again!"
