A Health Hazard - Unhelpful management
I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in different countries across the world but the Ballymac is certainly the worst experience I’ve ever had. On arrival my hotel room wasn’t ready which meant I had to sit in the lobby while they prepared it. I can overlook this however as my booking was last minute. What I can’t overlook was the bad smell in the room. This wasn’t helped by the smell of onions emanating from the restaurant out and round through my room windows. The weather was quite hot and so I was forced to choose between boiling alive in my room or dealing with the nasty smell. Thankfully I had business to deal with and was out most of the evening. On my arrival back, the room was unbearably warm. When I asked reception for a fan I was informed that they had none and I was forced to endure the heat. On account of this I decided to get a shower before going to bed. As I rolled one of the towels open I was faced with brown stains which, on investigation turned out to be human poo. This partly explains why the smell in the room was so bad. However, there was still rubbish in the drawers and the room hadn’t been dusted for quite some time and a strange shaped stain on a table in the room (I dared not ask). After speaking to a staff member I was moved from Room 15 to Room 12 on account of the towel incident. Unfortunately Room 12 had only 1 window and with no fans the room was unbearable. I couldn’t sleep so decided to leave the hotel and drive home at 1am.

Lovely spot
Very welcoming staff at this hotel with good clean roofs and friendly service. The only downside was the breakfast arrangements as they could only provide a basic breakfast from 7.00am with no cooked until 10.00am which is rather late? Over would stay again and hopefully this is just a glitch in the service from this hotel.

Great Hotel close to Belfast
Good location, friendly staff, modern comfortable room. WiFi wasn’t the best, but my Sky app worked well so couldn’t really complain. Defo would stay here again and can’t wait to come back

Horrendous Stay
Very very disappointed, given family room 12 bed looked like someone had eaten the bed, also someone must have fired a drink from the bed to the bins marks all up the walls and the dust sitting thick on the blinds and units, not to mention the stained cushions. A proper let down, we booked a family room through Expedia and when we arrived were told we owed another £40 for the kids as they were not included in the family room??? Moved to room 8 it was no better we we just said nothing they obviously sprayed air freshener in the room before we entered but didn't hide the fact the place was still filthy spiders everywhere and cobwebs.

Basic hotel - price reflects the hotel really.
The stay was OK. The room was basic with 1 double and 2 single beds in room. The TV was old and remote a bit grubby. Worst thing for me was the extremely slow wifi. When connected, it tested on average at only 1mbps which is impossible to either work with or for watching any streaming services.... constantly buffering.

The room was old with no basic amenities. I felt like I was in a dorm room. For some unknown reason, I was put into a handicap room. Shower water flowed out into bathroom. Do not stay here.

Good hotel
Good service, food and very clean. The room had blinds, no curtains and as a result felt a bit cold on a bitter winters night. Also, not enough plug sockets! Nice location though & handy for the airport.

A pleasant stay in a friendly hotel about 10 miles from Belfast. Ideal for International airport if you have a car. Great food and friendly staff. Slightly dated interior but good value and spotlessly clean. Only criticism is that the strong cleaning chemicals used in the room triggered some sort of allergy as they were very strong.
