With access by code you can check in at any time or if you prefer, we will be there waiting for you. Building refurbished in 2018/2019 composed by 5 small studios with about 20 square meters each, in a building of 5 floors without elevator. This Studio on the ground floor, consists of space with a double bed, a sofa-bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom with shower. Also has air conditioner The kitchenette has an induction hob, fridge, washer and dryer and microwave. Wifi is free over a fast 4g network The building is 200 years old and has been carefully rehabilitated in 2018 and 2019 in order to preserve the various archaeological records found and this rehabilitation was accompanied by the archeology and anthropology services of the Lisbon City Hall. Check-in and check-out times Check-in time is between 17:00 and 22:00 on the start date of your booking unless another time has been agreed with us. Check-out time is until 11:00 on the last day of your booking unless another time has been agreed with us. Unauthorized late departures will incur additional charges. On the day of arrival, guests must present their identity documents (passport or identity card) to the owners. By law, we are obliged to report some personal details of each guest to the Immigration and Borders Service (SEF). Extra guests The guest on whose behalf the booking was made must stay in the accommodation as we cannot accept bookings for other people. Extra people are not allowed beyond the number of people on the reservation. Airbnb and Booking take this issue so seriously that in the event of a complaint, the booking is canceled and the guest is not entitled to any compensation. Quiet hours Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 7:00. Please keep noise levels to a minimum during this time to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests. Tobacco and drugs As a family home, we have a no-smoking policy, so we ask that you do not smoke inside the property What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when you stay in our home, we have a strict no drugs policy. Pets Although animals can be very well-behaved at home, how they will behave in a new space is not a given. And nobody wants to hear a dog barking at 2am or a cat meowing Unfortunately, the costs of cleaning up after the animal are enormous in order to avoid allergies for the next guests. And then there's the problem of smell: nobody who has an animal thinks their house smells bad. But anyone who enters the house will smell it immediately. The house would have to be open for 2 or 3 days for the smell to disappear and that's very expensive. Any violation of this rule will incur an extra cleaning fee. Parties For us, the safety and well-being of hosts, guests and the community in general are a priority, so parties and events of any kind are forbidden in the apartment. Airbnb and Booking take this issue so seriously that in the event of a complaint, the booking is canceled and the guest is not entitled to any compensation. Garbage and recycling Please dispose of your garbage in the bin on the day you leave the property. We appreciate your help in separating recyclable materials. The location of the garbage cans can be found in the House Manual. This small step makes a big difference to the environment and will help us avoid a fine. Before you leave, wash and put away the dishes and kitchen utensils you have used. Accidents Accidents happen. If you damage something, let us know as soon as possible so that we can take care of it. It is expensive to arrive at the property and discover damage that could lead to your next stay being canceled because there is no time to repair it. However there seemed to be a lot of old water leaks from the shower and the floor in the bathroom was pretty messed up. Also many cracks in the walls. Only strange thing was there is a slanted ceiling over one side of the bed and you have to be super careful not to crack your head getting in and out. My tall husband couldn’t have slept on that side of the bed. Also the couch was very uncomfortable so there were a couple of stool or the bed to really sit on. There was a clever fold up table to that helped to make efficient use of the space. The kitchen had great gear and the humidifier was a necessity. When the tank was full the room got an awful musky odor (but again expected in Alfama). Perfect location. Not to high up the hill so it was not too much work to get to the room after a full day of walking. Location really made this room. ##### Linda S.
