This is a small 4 rooms guesthouse on the 1st floor. Location is quite good if it wasn't for the flock of youngsters spending their nights just in front of the rooms windows, making almost impossible to sleep at night. The area looks very dirty and smelly. The rooms is big. The carpet on the floor gives a sensation of dirty. No minibar in the room. No hairdryer. No cleaning of the room for 3 days. Positive thing is the air conditioning but quite noisy. Good value for money if you're willing to compromise on the above. This is not a hotel, but a guest house. There are 4 rooms in a residential building who are not managed by anyone - no service at all. They forgot to give me the key of the residential building and just provided me with the code to enter my room. Then I was left out in the street at 2AM in the morning with nowhere to go... As there is nobody working inside the guest house (no host) after 11PM, no one answered the bell, the calls on their phone or even the emails. Ein kleines Hotel mit nur vier individuell gestalteten Zimmern, liebevoll einerichtet und geräumig, wenn auch hier und da etwas improvisiert. Eine große Wohnung, umgestaltet in ein kleines Apartment-Hotel. Die Zimmer sauber und gepflegt. Kleinere Mankos wie ein undichterr Brauseschlauch entsprechen zwar nicht den vier Sternen, beeinträchtigen aber nicht den charmanten Gesamteindruck. Die Lage super. Das Viertel Bairro Alto ist wunderschön, schmale Gassen, alte Häuser. Nur 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt eine grandiose Aussichtsterrasse mit Buden einheimischer Kost. Lissabon liegt Ihnen zu Füßen. Im Viertel gibt es eine Fülle guter Restaurants und Kneipen, sowie origineller Läden. Nachteile: Die Rezeption ist so gut wie nie besetzt. Zwar verständlich bei nur vier Zimmern, aber feste Zeiten, an denen sich der Besucher orientieren kann, wären hilfreich. So war auch niemand beim Auschecken anwesend, obwohl wir die Abfahrtszeit genannt hatten und jemand vor Ort sein wollte. Und: Das Viertel ist wegen der vielen Lokale nichts für Geräuschempfindliche. Durch die schmalen Gassen hallt es ein wenig, was lautes Sprechen noch verstärkt. Aber allein die Fahrt mit der steilen Straßenbahn hinauf zur Terrasse und zum Hotel ist schon die Reise wert. Tip: Gleich am Flughafen eine aufladbare Tageskarte für die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel für € 6 kaufen. Damit kann man für 24 Stunden fast alles benutzen.
