Lovely place in the old part of Lisbon the staff were very helpful and friendly especially with bags as it is located on a very very steep road so for people with mobility issues this might not be the best place to stay otherwise fully recommend

We traveled as a family of 4 with 2 kids during an intense heat wave. The AC was incredible, both in the lobby and the room. The pool, however, was less than 1 foot deep and full of debris, which was a little disappointing. The room was clean and well-maintained. Our older son slept downstairs on a pull-out couch (he is not a fan of pull-out couches, but enjoyed having his own bed) and our younger son fit with us in the upstairs bed. The bed was a little on the firm side but very comfortable. The power went out briefly during our stay, which was worrisome given the 38C weather, but it was back on by the time we returned from our day trip to Cascais. The location was unique. We got a lot of steps up and down the steep the cobblestone hills. There is also an iconic streetcar that passes by very near if you get tired of walking.

Basic hotel. Rooms clean but small. Bathroom in need of a little maintenance. No bar and outside courtyard space very disappointing. Didn’t take breakfast at €15 each - instead used the excellent ‘Breakfast’ lovers, a few minutes walk away. Staff on front desk friendly and helpful when asked. Hotel in very good central location, but on a steep hill. Very quite within the hotel, except the rumble of the 28e tram.

Lage mitten in der Alfama, grundsätzlich schöne Anlage, die aber noch Potential hat. Der Innenhof mit "Pool" könnte ein wenig Liebe vertragen. Die Zimmer sind sauber, aber sehr klein. Das Frühstück hat keine riesen Auswahl aber absolut ausreichend und in nettem Ambiente. Personal durchgehend sehr freundlich. Man kann das Hotel leider nicht direkt anfahren, da die Straße nur für zugelassene Fahrzeuge freigegeben ist. Dies sollte man zumindest bedenken, falls man nicht gut zu Fuß ist (was man aber ja in der Alfama generell sein sollte).

The property sits in the Alfama district of Lisbon. The oldest and most historic district of the city. It is quaint with stunningly beautiful views of the city. We were told by a staff member the hotel was the first convent founded in the city, hence, the name Convento do Salvador. This hotel is in a very narrow and steep cobblestone street. Some taxis and Uber drivers do not go down to the hotel to pick up passengers and it is necessary to go up to one of the main thoroughfares to get the Uber. If you have difficulties walking and/or climbing, this, perhaps isn’t the place for you. However, we found it quaint with an inner courtyard, comfortable with a mi ima list and modern vibe, clean and with warm, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was wonderful. I would stay there again!
