Close To The Major Areas But Very Quiet. Charming building, is relatively new (compared to the area) is from 2010, is only 4 apts the developer keep the style of the old Lisbon Architecture. One bedroom but have a great living space, nice new kitchen well equipped, bathroom with a bathtub and a bide. All the rooms have doors to the balconies (2 balconies) both of them have amazing river views, one you see the sun rise and the other the sunset, very comfortable bed, big sofa, WIFI, internet and TV with a lot of International chanels. The neighborhood is a very typical Lisbon neighborhood is a historical neighborhood, you still can find the old stores, there are restaurants, little supermarkets and a lot of cafes, there is a croissanterie 2 streets below that have amazing bread. The location of the apt is on a one way street , not a lot of cars, very quiet, the bedroom is on the back and there is no street there, only backwards, you hear the birds. There is very good public transportation on the parallel street, that can take you anywhere if you don't feel like walking. Beautiful views from the balconies. Susana shares a lot of great information about the area. We ate at two of the restaurants she recommended that were close to the apartment that were delicious. Make sure you get the check-in information in advance. We had to wait for that but once we heard back from Susana all went well. The nearby bus route linked well with the Metro so travel to other parts of Lisbon was accessible and easy. One thing we liked best was eating on the rear balcony in the evening with the sunset and a slight breeze. We also loved the beer, pastries and bread from one of the nearby cafés. Good sized rooms with all the amenities you'll need for a short stay. There are some good dining options within a short walk along with nearby corner stores for buying basic groceries. A 10-15 min walk gets you to the Graca neighbourhood where there are many more bar, restaurant and grocery store options. The apartment is one block away from a bus stop. Susana (the host) provided us with extensive notes on her recommendations for things to do and local restaurants, which was very helpful. Note that this is a very hilly section of Lisbon so taking a taxi home after a long day of walking in Lisbon is highly recommended. ##### Mark D. Found 2 small markets close by. Limited household supplies so had to purchase paper towels. The balconies were wonderful with morning sunrise coffee and evening sunset with desserts. The 4 stair levels was not too bad to climb. Quiet apartment. Great restaurant just around the corner... Tabernario do Bairro. Highly recommend it. Went to a Fado restaurant - Restaurante Guitarras ( very hidden) but again was excellent. This apartment is very close to the train station. Used Bolt to get back up hills when we couldn't use the bus. ##### shelly j. The codes to enter the property were inaccurate 2\. Communication with the owner was difficult. 3\. The apartment was cold and had inadequate heating for the the time of year. 4\. There were no extra blankets to mitigate the cold. Overall, the apartment was nice, it was very clean and located in a pleasant neighborhood. Comfy bed. ##### peter s.
