The building is a classic of the 18th century architecture of Lisbon. The interior of 120 square meters was fully renovated by an architect, preserving the antique pieces still in the apartment and combining it with modern elements. The furnitures and the decoration give a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The apartment includes a large living-room, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The stairs of the building have not been renovated yet but it will be done soon. The apartment is 3.20 meters high ceiling (10.5 feets). Many elements are antiques like the parquet made with wood from Brazil, the doors, the hand-made tiles and the wooden structure of the building highlighted between the entrance and the living room. There is a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. \- The living room faces the street and includes a seating area with a sofa and two leather armchairs, and a dining area with a round table. \- The master bedroom is facing the courtyard with a small balcony and has its own small private shower room. It is equipped with a double bed 140\*200. \- The second large bedroom is also facing the courtyard with 2 large windows. It is equipped with a double bed 150\*200. \- The third bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds 90\*200. \- The main bathroom is equipped with both a full-size tub and a large shower. It is decorated with the original 18th century tiles of the building, that we arranged with the modern elements. \- The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped with an induction hob, a traditional oven, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer, and small equipments like a toaster, a kettle and a coffee machine. There is also all necessary dishes and kitchen utensils. Theses equipment and services are included: \- Wireless internet and Cable TV with over 100 international channels. \- Air conditioning in the living-room and the 2 double bedrooms. Fan in the smaller bedroom \- Towels and bed linen are provided. There are also 2 hair dryers in the bathrooms. Regular check-in time is between 3pm and 9pm. We'll try to provide you an early check-in time if you need but it will depend on what time the preivous guests leave. I you arrive between 9 pm and midnight, there is a 25 euros extra charge to give directly to the person welcoming you. Between midnight and 9 am, the extra charge is 35 euros. The city of Lisbon requests the payment of a tourist tax of 4 euros per day (up to 7 days) et per person (13 years old and over). You will need to give the amount of that city tax to the person who will welcome you and we'll take care to pay to the city of Lisbon. This apartment is my second home in Lisbon. Please take care of it as I do myself. Especially, it is strictly forbidden to organize a party inside the apartment. Smoking is not permitted inside the rooms of the apartment but is allowed on the small balcony. I hope that you'll feel at home during your stay, as much as I do myself when I’m in Lisbon. Baixa is the most central area in Lisbon, between Praça do Comercio and Rossio, and between the districts of Chiado and Castelo. It was built in the 18th century and is typical of the Pombalino architecture of Lisbon of that time. All transports are very closes of the apartment: the subway (the Baixa-Chiado station is 200 meters away), the tramways and the bus. And this beautiful apartment added to the great experience. Don't let the non-descript exterior of the building or the stairwell fool you, an amazing apartment awaits up three flights of stairs. If you are with older travelers, be aware this is a walk-up apartment (no elevator). But the apartment is worth the exercise! Very spacious, with lots of old world charm but all the modern conveniences. Newer kitchen with beautiful appliances including a dishwasher. Newer bathrooms. Everything works: wifi, AC, appliances, TV. We were 5 adults and found the three bedrooms and two bathrooms very comfortable. The highlight is probably the great location: you are in the middle of the Baixa district, central to everything in Lisbon. Great access to the street trolley's, Metro stations, etc. Walking distance to many great sights and restaurants, pastry shops, etc. We were greeted by Antonio upon arrival and he gave us a nice orientation to the apartment and Lisbon. Beautiful wood floors, big windows that let in so much light, and well equipped with all we needed. It was a wonderful place for respite after our daily activities. We were a party of four and there was plenty of room. The apartment was in a great location. Close to everything! Antonio was very communicative and stayed in constant contact until our arrival. He gave us a tour of the apartment and showed us all amenities and how to use appliances. We had a great stay and highly recommend this apartment! ##### Lorilee D. Wonderful apartment in a great neighborhood in the center of Lisboa, close to so many places to see, especially for people new to the city. Samuel and Joao were terrific, they even allowed us to leave our bags there while the people were still cleaning up from the previous guests, because out plane arrived at 9:30 a.m. and we didn't want to walk around with our luggage all day, so Joao met us there and we could leave our stuff and then go walk around the city. Wonderful apartment, great hardwood floors, even had a great espresso maker and coffee. Wonderful experience and Lisboa is a fantastic city to visit! ##### Michael R. Kitchen was very well appointed. Very convenient to restaurants and sights. The property guide was very helpful and communication was great. Check-in was easy. A couple things we noticed: en suite bathroom was very small and we were surprised by the lack of mattress pads. We added a second sheet. The area is under renovation so there’s a lot of trash out front, but it should be lovely when it’s done. All in all a nice stay. ##### Kerry A. We walked to just about everywhere from the apartment. The street was closed to traffic due to construction; this actually kept the noise level down altho we noticed the double pane and shutters provided adequate insulation from street noise. The property was spacious and adequately met the needs of our family (3 couples and baby). The only minor inconvenience was climbing the four flights of stairs to reach the apartment as there is no elevator… but it helped burn off the calories of all those custard tarts we ate! ##### Carol P. The neighborhood is centrally located and very nice. There are 2 draw backs both of which we navigated; one was unknown at the time of booking. The first was a 3 floor walk up on uneven stairs. This was only a problem for arrival and departure with luggage. The second which we were unaware of until a tours by locals driver told us was that our street was pedestrian only. Again this was only an inconvenience for arrival and departure with luggage Our host and his team were very helpful and responsive to our queries. ##### Shelley G. My husband and I rented this perfect flat for the month of August and we were really happy with this rental. The flat was super clean, well supplied with everything that we needed and the location could not have been better. But the best part of this experience was the easy communication with the owner and his associates. One thing to note is that this perfect flat is on the third level. We had no issues with the stairs but that’s something to keep in mind. We have rented literally dozens and dozens of apartments over the past 20 years and this flat is near the top of the list.
