We walked to the tram and several major sites, also ate at several neighborhood restaurants. I would highly recommend it for a solo traveler or a couple. ##### Janet P. I searched many options for our 4 da y stay in Lisbon. This was my top pick because it looked bright and cheery with everything needed. Did not disappoint! Very quiet with great restaurants in close proximity. Small market nearby for breakfast items, snacks, wine, veggies, fruit, meats, etc. Check in, access very easy with key pad code. The airy well lit apartment has a well equipped kitchen with a full sized fridge, a comfortable bedroom with ample closet space, and reliable WiFi. It is right around the corner from bus stops for lines to key parts of the city making it a cinch to get around. (Visitors should be aware that the apartment is located in a hilly neighborhood like much of Lisbon.) And we loved the small square with a fountain that was a short walk away and adjacent to a remarksble variety of restaurants/cafes and a good coffee place. The managers were helpful and quick to respond to our questions. The neighborhood was wonderful and we enjoyed dinner at several local restaurants which was great! Firm bed but we slept welll and not sore in morning . Very quiet street and building. Excellent breakfast /bakery on corner called Seagull Method where we picked up pastries several days and enjoyed brunch too. Good water pressure, lots of hot water. Enjoyed the balcony when the weather cooperated!Be sure to explore all the parks and lookouts etc in Principe Real...some of our favorite spots. a wonderful stay! ##### Sarah M. The downhill walk to the city center winds past off-the-beaten-path restaurants and shops. No worries, the uphill climb gets easier after the second trek home. Scores of great restaurants and haunts within walking distance including, ironically, an Iranian cafe which - no offense to Portuguese cuisine - where we enjoyed our favorite meal in Lisbon. A couple of factors affected our stay, however. Construction going on next door and the extremely high temperatures made time in the apartment somewhat uncomfortable. Fans provided by the owners helped but there's nothing you can do about the weather. We had trouble figuring out the stove and oven, and while the owners provided some troubleshooting, it was still an issue limiting our use of the kitchen during our stay. ##### Patricia C. First timer in Portugal , I was not disappointed. It was beautiful and so was the apartment. We mainly got it not because of location but because of the beautiful balcony. While that was the main reason, we honestly didn’t use because we were out and about. Overall the host and the apartment was nice. The apartment was very clean and the host left cleared instructions on what needed to be done on our part. The only thing I did not particularly enjoy was the bathroom, mainly the shower style. The neighborhood is very quiet and there’s great coffee shops nearby. Communication with the host was very smooth.
