"We spent the last five days of our trip here. What an amazing and well appointed apartment! Everything we could possibly need was there, and more. Paula was very thoughtful, giving us great information and providing breakfast food as well. Loved the history of the building, which is old, but renovated with care and super clean. We spent enjoyable time drinking our coffee on the rooftop terrace as well. I definitely recommend this place."

We were met by Miguel on arrival and he assisted us getting to the apartment as no vehicles are allowed in the Historic Centre. Miguel spent a fair amount of time explaining the ins and outs of the apartment and reviewed the many things to see and do in Sintra and surrounding area. "Paulo is a great person and was very helpful , giving us all the information about things to do in the area. The location is just perfect. A vibrant village, with character and the house is located in a quiet part of it, close to the beach. The house is super comfortable and beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, rooms and social area spacious and very well decorated. I can't think of a better place to stay"

"We used this as a base of operations for almost 2 weeks. It is in a small village about 45 minutes north of Lisbon. 2 wild beaches within a short walk away and many other great Atlantic beaches within a short drive away. Another review mentioned a chicken restaurant just down the street and it is probably the best chicken I've ever had. I think we ate there 4 or more times. There is a bar type place across the street and so there is some street noise on some nights and there is a grocery store...

"We had an enjoyable and relaxing week at Casa Lagoa. The pool and the kitchen of the cottage have both been improved since the pictures on the home and away site so it was even better than expected. Plenty of places to visit in the area and a short drive to several beaches - highly recommended."

"Brilliant stay. Not too far from the airport if you have a car but feels like a million miles away from Lisbon, perfect if you want to get away from it all. Great base if you want to visit the beaches in the south/west. We really appreciated the breakfast. In the middle of the national park - we saw animals every morning. Hosts we first rage and couldn’t do enough for us."
