The best time to go to Lime Village is typically during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is mildest and the village is most accessible.During this period, temperatures are generally comfortable, ranging from 10°C to 20°C, making outdoor activities more pleasant. The long daylight hours, often extending to nearly 24 hours of daylight in June, provide ample time for exploring the natural surroundings. This is also when the local flora and fauna are most active, offering opportunities for wildlife viewing, particularly for birdwatching and observing local animal populations. For travellers interested in fishing or outdoor adventures, July and August are particularly good. The rivers and lakes are free of ice, allowing for fishing expeditions for salmon and trout. Hiking and exploring the wilderness become more feasible as the ground thaws and trails are clearer. The winter months, from September to May, bring very cold temperatures, heavy snowfall, and significantly shorter daylight hours. While this period offers a great experience for those interested in dog sledding, northern lights viewing, or ice fishing, it requires more specialised gear and a higher tolerance for extreme cold.
