The only issue with the hotel itself is that it is dated, but that's the case with many hotels and is nothing more than a visual criticism. The person at the front desk also did not really speak French, only creole. The views of the city were spectacular and I highly recommend you take photos of the sunrise over the city. The food was excellent and reasonable. The new owner was a delight to talk to and he informed me that all of his electricity comes from a generator since the city does not provide it. Like everywhere in Cap Haitien, constant A/C is not possible so there are times from around 8:00 pm until the morning when it works well. This hotel is a colorful oasis on the hill and a great place to drink a beer and look out over the city. It is a steep grade up the hill but I walked up and down it and enjoyed to e beautiful murals. I highly recommend staying at this hotel!
