It really depends on what you want. I would say for short stay as a tourist, this hotel doesn't serve the purpose as it's not close to anything. The room is clean, the jacuzzi like bathtub is kind of worn out so not so attractive. Ask for the back of the hotel on third otherwise it will be noisy with either traffic on the street or the loud music from the gym.
The surrounding area is a mix of small offices and residents. There is a nice bakery cafe across from the hotel, a below-average Chinese restaurant, and a salon/spa that will rip you off. If you are not in a hurry, you can take the bus to Miraflores for one Soles, which is really cheap. Taxi is frequent, but keep in mind the hotel is not close to anywhere.
If you are in Lima for a longer stay for non-tourist stuff, I would say the location is not bad. It will take at least two or more days to get used to the neighborhood, and once you do, it's kind of nice.
Breakfast has few kinds of breads, fresh juices, and fruits. When it's early, there is scramble eggs.
Didn't use the pool, the water seems cold. Didn't see anyone swimming in it for the days I was there.
Take the taxi and negotiate on your own. When we asked how much we should pay if we have the hotel to call the taxi to take us to airport, we were told 25 US dollars. We decided to get a taxi on our own outside of the hotel, and we were charged only 40 Soles.
The staff is friendly and helpful with the room and TV.
The daily clean is solid.
