Hotel was nice enough but walking to the station at night could be problematic be cause the station was next to an area of derelict building and gangs of youths hanging around.

Good Value
The room is far from salubrious, but was clean and tidy, making it good value for the money paid. Great advantage was private car parking linked to the hotel.

In need of complete refurbishment. Very basic.
The hotel really needs closing whilst extensive renovation takes place. Even a refurbed room wasn't good. Paint slapped over walls that really should be stripped. The toilet was separate to the bathroom, but basically in a cupboard. The condition of the toilet was disgusting and it wasn't even secured properly to the floor, so rocked. Exposed wires in corridors and ceilings that definitely needed urgent replacement. The area is quite dodgy and didn't feel safe. There was a charge for parking a vehicle which was not listed and although it quoted a price inclusive of charges, taxes etc, we were still charged extra. Breakfast was very basic too. Staff were friendly but overworked.

The room was absolutely disgusting! Filthy stained floors and some muck stuck to the carpet, my skin crawled just lying on top of the bed. You could hear someone sneeze 4 rooms away and the elevator all night. Would not recommend.

Functional rooms, tired and worn out; ok for a night. Certainly wouldn’t pay full price (over a hundred euros) for it. Breakfast buffet is passable. Conveniently located to get to Lille Centre and as well as out.

nice staff was the highlight. the room was ok but tired, there was work being done and assume the rooms are being refurbished. The downside is the location,this area of Lille is dire, as a stop and sleep it was all we were looking for. the breakfast was ok. we have stayed around Lille before and we will be going back to those hotels in the future.

Nothing special but good value for the price and easy to find. The staff were very friendly and we're genuinely concerned that I had a good stay, I had not expected to pay 7 Euro extra for parking but may not have read the fine print clearly enough. The breakfast was good value.

Good on route hotel
Stayed here one night on the way to the Mosel Valley. It is very close to the motorway from Calais to Trier so easy to find. The hotel was comfortable buffet breakfast was good. They charge 7 euros a night to park in the covered secure car park which is essential because you are on a busy main road several hundred yards from the motorway.I would use it again.

Convenient going to the University of Lille by car
Overall nice experience. Bus in front of the hotel takes you to the center. Very easy way on going and coming back for the university of Lille if you have or rented a car. Nice Expedia price, and 3 take away stores across the road.

a good address for business commuters
Hotel and Rooms are "just enough" for people in a business trip without any expectations about luxury. It's simple but effective. Using public transportation, the hotel was 10 min walk from Porte d'Arras Metro station. Good point is that breakfast is included and price is average cheap.

Don't Take Your Bourgeois Wife to the Nord Hotel
My wife hated the place and refused to go out. She excoriated me for choosing it. Gentleman at front desk was very helpful and spoke beautiful English. Since i speak some French & Arabic I went out and bought some food and enjoyed meeting some of the locals. Floor carpets were ancient & dirty. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

Very good for the car, not so good for the guests
Main reason for the choice was the garage, although with a surcharge of seven euro it was very good and safe. The location of the hotel is also very good, near all the main roads and with a bus stop just on the other side of the road to take you in the centre of Lille. The room is very dated, small bathroom and hand held shower.

Cheap but not worth it
We booked two nights and were shocked with the quality of our room which stank of curry! We coulnt stand it so asked to be moved! The chap on reception was lovely but informed us that the better rooms were much more expensive! I suggested we use the money we paid for two nights in the smelly room for one night in the better room which he agreed with. Better room was nicer but still not that pleasant! Breakfast was good, parking very handy and the receptionist was great but otherwise I would avoid it.

The check in was great. Staff was friendly. Directed us to a great restaurant for dinner. Continental Breakfast was good. The room was adequate. Huge plumbing problems. After two showers, the shower plugged up . No maintenance to help,no plunger available. They were willing to move us to another room. My husband checked that shower and it too was plugged. The sink was also backing up into the shower. Toilet lid was also off. This was all at midnight after a long travel day. Sewer gases were backing up into the bathroom. The problem with the backup was cleared in the morning. ..too late for us to shower before we left. No compensation was offered. We chose this hotel for the non-smoking and no pets policy due to allergies.

hotel ok for one night stopover
hotel is ok for a quick stopover however it quite a way out of the centre. Staff are very friendly and did give our motorcycles free secure parking.Rooms are a bit dated but clean and tidy.You get what you pay for! Ideal for a cheap one night stopover.

One night only!
We only stayed in this hotel for one night... the car park was great and secure and the rooms were school trip/hostel standard... good shower though. The surrounding neighbourhood was in decay or on total lockdown and there were slightly too many shattered windows. One night was probably enough but the main town wasnt far... dont you dare walk though!

Close to motorway - no more good things about it
We had a family room with double bed and one single. Room was just big enough to accommodate those beds and small dressing table. The view from the room was dull - it was overlooking the roof and other boring social housing look alike buildings. The only one reason we took it they mentioned parking in their description and it was close to motorway as we staid there on our way to euro tunnel. Next time we will stay in Brussels.

Easy last minute booking. Cheap and chearful. It was exactly what it said it would be. Easy parking at just 5 euro for 24 hours. Worked well as a base for the christmas market. Helpful reception lady gave us a map and informed us of the best metro to take and available bus route to take us exactly where we wanted. If you are expecting grand accomodation, this is not the place for you, but clean and function it was.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and tidy hotel. The location of the hotel is just 2 metro stops from the Grand Palais conference centre. However the neighbourhood is a bit rough- not a place for taking deliberate walks, especially not when dark. The walk to the metro is not very pleasant either (7min over the motorway and an industrial area). Internet worked really well. However unfortunate that the quite simple breakfast is not included in price. Probably good option for families who come with car and are fine with being far from centre of town in the evenings.

Mmmm... it's OK, but....
I booked this hotel for the price. It is not very close to the restaurants, and the area felt a bit seedy so I spent most of the evening in my room. The hotel bar is small and there wasn't really a common room or place to relax. The room itself was pleasant enough, and the free wifi and TV in the room score points. For a simple and cheap place to rest overnight it was fine, but in hindsight I probably would have looked for somewhere closer to the centre of town.

An eye opener
The hotel was ok it's 2 star so what you would expect. The price could have been a little cheaper for what it was. It was the town that I wouldn't recommend didn't see much there at all. The hotel is a little way from the center of Lille sort of wished i'd been closer really. The parking was excellent although the price wasn't included. 24hr reception and free WiFi the staff we're very helpful. The room was tidy lacked a kettle though. Overall think before you book here and only go on the understanding that it's 2 stars.

Nord Hotel Lille
I have stayed several times at the Nord Hotel because it is convenient for Transpole the Lille Metro system only a few hundred yards walk. The hotel has an excellent secure garage for which they have now introduced a modest fee. So one can park up and make the transition to public transport which is excellent. Or when the weather is fine the city centre is wihin walking distance. The hotel has no restaurant and does not provide evening meals, I take the metro to the city centre where one is spoilt for choice. This gives one the choice to eat on a budget or go out on the town for an expensive meal. An excellent continental breakfast is provided by the hotel. I will stay there again!
