Newly remodeled September 2025, textured and freshly painted Welcome to my charming Kaua'i home. From the walkway in front of my lanai, which overlooks the pools and has an ocean view, it is 150 paces to the sand of the beach. The location is mesmerizing. A short 2 1/2 mile drive from the airport, you turn 'makai', ocean side, through a quarter mile arched arbor of Banyan trees and enter the oceanfront world of the OUTRIGGER Kaua'i Beach Resort, a richly remodeled, Plantation Style, 4 star resort. This is a privately owned condominium within the Resort with fully use of the Resort amenities. Here are just a few of its wonderful features: \*A priceless view of clouds and waves as they roll in from the ocean. \*Spectacular sunrise and pacific moon rise daily from your lanai. Entire apartment newly appointed in luxurious Travertine stone! \*Simmons Beautyrest King firm mattress with new native Hawaiian hardwood bed. Our stay was amazing. The place had everything we were looking for - central location, great pools, and above all else, a beautiful view! The room waa well stocked with coffee, beach towels and chairs, and even a boogie board. Harold was great to deal with throughout the process and outlined everything in detail. Check-in was a breeze and not much different with his vacation rental as would be checking in as a hotel guest. Highly recommended! ##### Chris M. The pictures of the view are entirely accurate… Stunning. the room itself is nicely sized, and the owner was welcoming and engaging. Careful attention to detail was obvious throughout. The one caveat is the $35 per day parking fee… Which is not under the control of the owner. ##### John B. The resort itself was beautiful with super friendly staff. We spent a ton of time in the pools and hot tubs, woke up to see amazing sunrises at the beach, and were happy to use the gym and gas grills on site. The unit itself was super clean and the bed & pillows were super comfortable. We loved the view from the balcony and really appreciated that the host provided two beach chairs and a couple coolers for us. The host, Harold, was super communicative and even gave us great advice about the island. This location was super convenient, as it was centrally located between the north and the south sides of the island and had plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The property grounds with its four pools and beach access was wonderful. The porch had incredible views, and you could hear the ocean. Harold was a pleasure. He was easily accessible and helpful in offering suggestions for outings. Beach chairs and towels are provided by him. Check in and out was easy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the restaurant and the Starbucks on site. Had a great time here! ##### Karen B. Great view from balcony of pool area and ocena. Room was comfortable, and the refrigerator was good sized with a separate freezer compartment. The bed was comfortable, and the room was great for a vacation. There were plenty of towels and amenities for a short term stay. The resort is excellent with 4 pools, an outdoor bar, activities (lei making, hula class, ukulele lesson) and there are several "happy hours" every day. Check in was excellent, and even though the parking is somewhat expensive, we used the valet parking and it was great (also same price as self-park). The property owner is outstanding, and was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. The property is less than 5 minutes from the airport in Lihue, and we loved the location We would return to this condo any time we are back in Kaua'i. ##### Brian B. View from the room is beautiful for sunset and sunrise. Nothing within walking distance but everything you might need within 10 min drive, airport was only 6 min drive. Some beach gear like chairs and cooler provided in unit was a nice bonus. We were there in June and found resort was not crowded at all. Host was communicative, friendly and helpful. Resort staff was always friendly. Overall for quality of resort, restaurants on site, cleanliness of room, quality of room, I’d say this is like any other 3 star hotel stay and was in line with the price you pay, a good deal compared to other resorts and Vrbos we saw on island! ##### Jennifer D. Our host was very helpful and responsive. The unit has a lot of extras accessories (beach chairs, coffee ,etc). The unit is nicely located in the complex Staff at the resort are really nice and 3 restaurant options to choose from Compared to other places this was a good value place and very convenient from/ to airport after a long flight . Only issue is 40 us per day parking cost Which seems very high . However other places who have free parking likely hide it in their resort fees so all things equal good value place we only rented car for 5 days in our stay so that could be an issue for some as your you can’t really walk to any shopping easily As advertised , in suite cooking options do not exist but we got by with good sized fridge and made it work . Harold has a great unit at KBR - if it's available, book it! The pool and ocean views from the lanai are great and the room is exactly as described / pictured. We only had one slight issue at check-in which had nothing to do with Harold. It was a miscommunication with hotel staff about room availability which Harold handled quickly. Harold was great to deal with - he is very quick to respond to any questions and is a wealth of knowledge about all things Kauai. He provided a ton of suggestions on places to visit, etc which we found super helpful. Thanks again for a great stay Harold- much appreciated! ##### Michael G. We've been coming here for years. It's our "Go-To" resort on the island....in fact, we were married here a few years ago. Beautiful grounds with a lovely pool area and located right by the ocean. Although, be aware....swimming on this beach isn't recommended due to possible undertow currents and "man-o-war". There are plenty of other beaches on the island that are safer. Refer to local guidebooks for suggestions. As for this particular room where we stayed Aug 2024, Room #3306---If you like an EXTRA FIRM, king-size bed, mounted on a board (no box spring), then this room is for you! Go for it! But if you would like to have, IMO, a more comfortable night's rest, there are plenty of other units at this resort to choose from. I highly recommend discussing the comfort level of the bed with the owner before deciding on any rental. Despite our host being relatively attentive, "It is what it is" with the bed and he can't change that. Also, if you're a coffee lover and you're hoping to brew your favorite cup in the room, be aware that the "in-room coffeemaker" is a Keurig, not a drip coffee maker. Other than that (and a couple of other missteps I won't mention here), the view from this room is great and although it's right over the pool area, the noise level is manageable. We loved having our morning breakfast on the balcony, which makes it all worth any inconveniences you may encounter. Aloha! ##### Nancy C. If you love an ocean view, listening to the sound of the ocean waves, and relaxing by a gorgeous pool at an excellent price, then this is the place for you! I give this property five stars for the unit and five stars for the location! The room is spacious and comfortable. I loved having a fridge/freezer. I was able to save money to spend on treats and activities by shopping and dining on the lanai most days. The bed was super comfortable. It was nice to have a lounge chair for reading and/or watching TV. But I never watched TV because I would sit on the lanai and watch the ocean! The resort staff was friendly and helpful. There is a free yoga on the grassy area fronting the beach each morning. Such a great way to start the day! This location is perfect. You can access activities on the North, South, and West shores within 30 - 60 minutes. Make sure you visit Smith's Tropical Gardens. You can also attend their luau show without having to pay for the dinner. The 8 minute drive is very convenient for driving home after a late evening event. Best swimmable beaches with decent snorkeling close by are Lydgate and Kalapaki - also about an 8 minute drive. The beach that fronts the resort is gorgeous but not swimmable. However, it's glorious to take a morning walk and watch the sunrise. Make sure to walk south until you get to a sweet little cove - very private. Harold, the owner, was super responsive and offered many suggestions for a great Kauai vacation. Thanks Harold for sharing! ##### Pamela P.
