  • This charming, oceanfront condo is attractively furnished with your comfort in mind. Its ground-floor location offers convenience as well as easy access to the beach. You have nice ocean views from your living room and master bedroom as well as from your private lanai. This is a great place to relax to the sound of the surf and enjoy a snack or cool beverage while taking in the beautiful sights.

    Located between award-winning, oceanfront Wailua Golf Course and Lydgate Beach Park, Kaha Lani, which means "Heavenly Place" in Hawaiian, gives you convenient access to snorkeling, golfing, shopping and restaurants. There is a huge selection of great eateries in this area from which to choose when you feel like dining out. Or, enjoy preparing relaxing meals at home in your fully equipped kitchen.

    Perfect for couples and families, Lydgate Beach Park is a very short walk down the beach from your condo. It has a protected area for snorkeling and swimming plus a toddler's swimming area. Just steps from your door, you can lounge by the swimming pool or play a game of tennis right at Kaha Lani. Enjoy leisurely strolls and beachcombing along a two-mile walking beach next to Wailua Golf Course.

    Kaha Lani is centrally located on the island so you can easily drive to spectacular north and south shore beaches, hike the Waimea Canyon, Na Pali and other trails, and sightsee while exploring the beautiful Garden Island.

It is also very close to the pool and the BBQs. It is also just a few minute walk to Lydgate Park/Beach. This is the second time we have stayed in this condo and feel it is the best one in this complex.

The only problems were jalousies falling out of the windows and lights not working. Some windows were inoperable and we have stayed in this condo before and used Kauai Vacations several times. They are wonderful! The door wouldn't lock properly and one time we came back from our walk and the door was open. Luckily, nothing was taken.

Living Rm had an area rug with curled up edge that caused a potentially serious trip to my husband Michael. I would suggest having a First Aid Kit in the condo in a visible place. Fortunately we had one with us.Condo kitchen was well stocked. On site staff were very helpful.Grounds & pool area were lovely . Night quiet time was respected. Stay was Fun & relaxing. Comfortable

Beautiful property near the ocean.This particular condo was right opposite the ocean with beautiful views from the living room and the master bedroom. Kitchen had utensils however , nothing else in the kitchen to get started . We had to do a grocery run even to survive a night. The second bedroom was not that great, no proper windows, just one small one. Had enough light coming through though. My mother takes in the second bedroom and was not very impressed. Other then that, the location is perfect to explore both the north shores and the south. The beach in front is beautiful, however not meant for swimming. Lydgate beach in like 5 mins by walk and it has a baby bay / beach which has a protected area for snorkeling or swimming.

There is no AC but none was needed as you get wonderful crosswinds through the unit. We loved the central location, easy to get north or south. Check in/out were very easy. The unit was very clean. It is not very walkable to shops and restaurants but the rest made up for that. It is a short walk to Lydgate beach and 75 steps out the back door to the water ahead. We absolutely loved it and we can't wait to go back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A perfect location for watching the ocean - and chickens. This property is nestled between Lydgate Park and Lydgate campgrounds. Having the oceanfront path easily accessible was a plus. Sunrises were magnificent. Ground level unit was very nice to have for the mobility challenged. Unit 118 could use some TLC. It was clean and comfortable. Very hard to find when we arrived at 8:00pm in the dark. A toilet seat was broken but replaced the very next day when it was reported, yay! Many of the window louvres were either not operable or broken. An unplugged lamp in the twin bed room had no bulb and a wall outlet behind one bed was gutted leaving exposed wires. Just some pretty basic updates could make 118 a joy. I wonder if those things could have been taken care of instead of the cost of the huge 65" TV?

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 118 is a bit dated & definitely seeing effects of the salty air & humidity with no a/c. The beds were just ok, could use new mattresses. But the grand star is the location of the unit facing the beach with just 80 steps to the sand & waves. This made all the rest forgettable. We were there to relax and definitely accomplished that! The beach chairs & coolers provided in the condo were used almost daily! We only used the pool on the property once. It looked clear & clean, but once we got in realized it needed a good scrub of the tile which had algae growing. We used the laundry facilities on site too & were happy with results. The dryers completely dried our full loads in one cycle. The kitchen is stocked well enough. We cooked several simple meals in condo & used the grills by the pool several times. Kitchen is missing storage containers for leftovers, but we bought ziplock bags & used those instead. Central location makes seeing both North & South sides of the island convenient. Only 5-10 minutes from restaurants & shopping in Kapa'a or Lihue. I love that the resort is quietly situated by itself away from everything else. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants, shopping & entertainment, look elsewhere. But if you are ok driving to those things & are looking for relaxation, listening to the waves & feeling the constant breeze of the tradewinds, then this is your spot!
