#### Perfect stay for our family of four!
This little apartment is perfection! Clean, well-organized, well-equipped and in a beautiful rural location that’s close to many sites for day trips. The hosts were incredibly warm, thoughtful and helpful. We were there during a rare heat wave for the area and Chituca and Alfredo immediately went out and bought a fan for us to stay cool. The pool was glorious and my kids loved the little playhouse which is just as tidy and organized as the apartment. Views in all directions. We even got a tour of Alfredo’s stained glass workshop. Note: they have a shed full of toys and yard games. As for sites…. We did the animal park which was crowded with cars and tourists but worth it for viewing several endangered animal species - our recommendation is to go when it’s cool and walk as much of the varying sections as you can. We saw the caves at Altimira which was slightly underwhelming and Santillana Del Mar which is lovely. Comillas was our favorite beach spot. Nearby Lierganes is a lovely old town for strolling and eating. We bought our groceries at the Lupa in Solares. Santander is only 15 mins away and we enjoyed pinxos at Casa Lita. Soltana was a nice authentic stop away from tourists. Definitely do research on the typical meal schedule in Spain and make some dinner reservations in advance- the schedule is very different than the USA and you can get caught with hungry kids and no places serving food. Don’t hesitate to book this apartment - it’s a little piece of heaven. Enjoy!

Very nice location and exceptional hosts.We received a very warm welcome by Mercedes & Alfredo.Really enjoyed our 8 day holiday at “la casita chituca”Highly recommended for those who seek a rural location without a long ride to get there.

La casa es maravillosa no le falta un solo detalle,está súper limpia,es cómoda y tiene todo lo necesario.El porche y el jardín con piscina es una gozada.En plena naturaleza,pero a 15 minutos del centro de Santander. Chituca y su marido Alfredo están atentos a todo lo que puedas necesitar recomendandote todo tipo de salidas que quieras hacer.La experiencia ha sido increíble,un placer poder conocerlos y volveremos sin duda. 100% recomendable!!
