I enjoyed running in the morning on the premises on the vitality trail and going for a dip in the pool after. We only stayed 1night, didn’t have breakfast there as we had to leave early. They did pack us a breakfast pack though. The breakfast was average with not much variety but there was enough. The luxury suites are enormous and with a lovely view over the valley. It makes a great base to explore the Midlands Meander. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The property is home to Wildebeest, Zebra, Blesbok & Impala which are always a hit with kids. The units are kept clean and have everything you need, as breakfast is provided at the lakeside restaurant. For dinner there is the choice of the Boma Restaurant which is on the property, or a number of nearby restaurants. St Ives is conveniently located near Midmar, and being directly across the road from Piggly Wiggly is also a plus!
