The home had large TVs, very comfortable beds with lots of pillows, a well-stocked kitchen, and was roomy enough for the six of us. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. We all kept commenting on how much we liked the property, but we were just a bit fearful of the goings on around the house. While this location may be within walking distance to a lot of cool bars and restaurants, we did not feel comfortable walking anywhere. And we were a group of six, including three men. I was comfortable when we were in the house, but I wouldn’t recommend this location to a group of women traveling alone together. Overall, I really enjoyed the property with the exception of the location. And that is not something that the owner can change. Everything that they can do to make this house welcoming and beautiful, they have done. The owners were very communicative and responsive. I mentioned the area to be transparent. While I absolutely love the house, I do not think I would stay there again because part of the charm of Lexington is walking around, and we felt we were unable to do that safely. ##### Laralyn H. The house is located about 35 minutes’ drive to the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfurt and about a mile to the downtown Lexington area’s bars and restaurants. The house has clearly been recently renovated and the interior is nice, as pictured. The property description describes the house as being located in an up-and-coming area and we’d say that is accurate, albeit early in the process. This isn’t an area most would want to take a walk around currently. Martine’s Pastries across the street was excellent, easily the bright spot of the location. Communication with the Host was great – prompt and comprehensive. The 4-star review is primarily due to the up-and-coming nature of the location and exterior surveillance cameras not being disclosed in accordance with VRBO guidelines. ##### Jason A. The house has been remodeled and has all new appliances. Each bedroom has a king bed and a huge tv. The beds were comfortable. The house is in an older neighborhood but we didn’t feel unsafe and never even saw a neighbor. Down the street there is a lot of homeless people but they didn’t bother us.
