Peace of mind-> The place to stay winter & summer

We (4 adults + 3 children) have stayed in Paul's house twice and will be back again next winter 2023. The place is really great and the location is so cool. If it is summer time and you want to go hiking it's perfect - many great hikes in the local surroundings. In the winter you can enjoy the snow and have fun with your family on skis. You can ski Alpine and some nice Nordic cross country ski. The House is located 1 minutes from the supermarket and the city where you also will find the free bus transfer which brings you to the main lifts which will take you to the fabulous ski/hiking area of Les Contamines-Montjoie . You can also start your hike directly from the house of Paul. When you step out of the door you'll find the amazing mountain range of the Mont Blanc Massif on your left site and on your right site you have Mont Joly where you will find some great overviews of the valley and the local surroundings. Les Contamines-Montjoie is a great place, have a big place in my hearth and in my opinion the house of Paul is the perfect place to stay. Give it a try - you want regret it. Kind regards, Martin

Bon accueil, prestations décevantes

Paul est un hôte très agréable, prêt à rendre service; les jeux mis à la disposition des enfants bienvenus et bien adaptés à tous les ages, son chalet et très bien situé, l'environnement très agréable. Cette location mériterait une excellente note, mais la cuisine, la salle de bain sont beaucoup trop petites pour 8 personnes et très "vieillottes", le séjour n'est pas très confortable. Dans l'ensemble le chalet mériterait d'être rénové afin que les prestations correspondent au niveau du prix.

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce chalet. A quelques mètres du centre ville et des départs en promenade, le chalet est parfaitement adapté aux familles avec enfants qui profiterons aussi du jardin clos.

location idéale pour un séjour en famille

Ce chalet dispose de tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer un séjour aux sports d'hivers dans de bonnes conditions. Il est proche du centre ville où une navette gratuite nous emmène aux télécabines (je vous conseille celle de Notre-Dame de la Gorge qui est moins fréquentée que celle du Lay).Sa proximité du centre ville nous permet un accès facile pour partir en randonnée pédestre ainsi que profiter des commerces sans prendre la voiture. La vue du chalet est magnifique, nous sommes entourés de Montagnes et il y a peu de vis à vis. Concernant le confort du logement, il est équipé et décoré simplement mais l'essentiel y est. La literie est bonne et les lits sont faits à notre arrivée. Il n'y a pas de cheminée mais la chaudière assure largement sa fonction, nous n'avons pas eu froid (bien au contraire!). Le propriétaire est disponible pour répondre à nos questions (par téléphone). Le panier de bienvenue à notre arrivée est une attention bienveillante qui annonce un accueil chaleureux. Néanmoins, les bémols de cette location sont la place de parking inexistante malgré 200 m2 de terrain et le manque de confort du salon attendu après une journée de ski! Cependant, nous avons passé un excellent séjour au chalet Bellaval et nous le recommandons++.

Accueillis chaleureusement dans chalet agréable, humanisé, entouré de prairie

L'accueil a été très humain. Le propriétaire a été particulièrement chaleureux tout du long de notre séjour ; (nombreux contacts téléphoniques). De plus, arrivant tard le soir, nous avons trouvé sur la table un grand pain et un nouveau pot de confiture pour notre petit-déjeuner du lendemain matin. Et la cuisine contient tous les ingrédients ordinaires, qu'on utilise et renouvelle au fur et à mesure. Nous avons beaucoup aimé ça. Dans le chalet, aussi des livres, des jeux, des cartes de balade. En bref, c'est un lieu habité, pas anonyme. L'aménagement intérieur est simple, mais tout à fait agréable, efficace. Il y a beaucoup de place de rangement. Belles prairie à l'extérieur, où on peut jouer au ping-pong, faire un barbecue .... (En fait, le chalet, aujourd'hui teint en noir, est plus beau que sur la photo)

Agréable séjour et propriétaires attentionnés

Nous avons passés de bons moments aux Contamines-Monjoie, dans ce chalet à la fois un peu excentré mais très près des commerces (un bon restaurant est à 10 mètres en contre-bas : publicité gratuite). Il est vaste (8 couchages répartis dans 4 chambres), fonctionnel et confortable : certains soirs, même à cette période, nous avons apprécié le chauffage central ! Tout au plus suggérons-nous d’aménager en quelques heures de mini-pelle une surface pour stationner et faire demi-tour : ce n’est pas la place qui manque !
