Restored Olive Mill Heated Salt Water Pool CIN IT082014C2QHI2328E
10/10 Excellent
"My wife and I stayed here in November 2025 along with another couple. As is noted in other reviews, the pictures don't do the villa justice and it is exactly as advertised. The road in and out (last few miles) is a bit difficult to traverse and renting a 4 wheel drive as suggested by the host is a very good idea. Other than that, the place is absolutely fantastic, including the location generally for touring around Sicily (in particular Palermo, Cefalu and surrounding areas). The villa is exceptional and fully stocked with everything required. Beyond that, the hosts (Paul and David) go above and beyond in every way, including facilitating everything you need for arrival, ensuring your every need is met and providing great recommendations for tour spots, wineries and restaurants (even making reservations). They are both amazing people and joined us a number of evenings for some wine around the outdoor fireplace. They also have a local chef they recommend for in-house dining - chef Bruno and his partner Giovanni and they are absolutely wonderful and the price is extremely reasonable (less than comparable meal at a restaurant) Probably the best meals we had in Italy were with them and we had them cook more than 4 evenings (would have been more but we did tour around a fair amount). Bruno also hosted a cooking class for us and it was brilliant. If you stay here having chef Bruno cook is an absolute must. Overall we can't rate the villa or Paul and David high enough. "
Sea-View Villa with Private Pool between Palermo & Cefalù
6/10 Okay
"Overall nice house, bit dated/scruffy inside and out. Looked amazing and private on VRBO. However this is the downstairs of a large property and the owner lives upstairs. Not what we wanted and had we known we wouldn't have booked it. No privacy with the owner looking down from the balconies above. While her son's piano playing was first class, we didn't appreciate it at 8 a.m. Considering the list of rules about noise we found it a bit unfair. We were there with 5 of our kids in their 20's and enforced the quiet rules on them. The pool was out of bounds from 2-4 which we found out at the end of our stay was the for owners convenience as she slept then. The spider was in the pool most of the morning making it also unuseable. The pool was very small, not able to swim use inflatables as you were always near the edge - dangerous IMO. Wooden loungers were impossible to lay on they were rock hard and no cushions.Wouldn't stay there again "
"Cleaning service was excellent. Parking was also good, but it was off season so there weren’t too many guests. The ambience around the pool was stellar with comfortable canopies beds and places to enjoy the sun. Breakfast was provided by the neighboring restaurant, and the woman who made omelettes could not have been more un-friendly! In fact, “omelette lady” has now become code between my husband and me for a person who is not nice. Our bed was too bouncy, but the room was spacious. We had a flood from the shower into the bedroom, and the staff told us not to worry about it and that it was “normal.” That struck us as strange, but we figured it was an Italian thing."
"We had such a great stay! Everything was m clean, and the sheets were cozy and smelled really fresh, which was great for me. The room was warmly decorated—it felt really welcoming and homey.
Breakfast was tasty, and the TV setup was awesome. My partner especially loved all the features and amenities it had. What I loved is the whole place was in a peaceful, quiet area, and the neighborhood was scenic and felt really safe.
What really stood out was how friendly and helpful everyone was. The staff were incredibly responsive and genuinely kind—it’s rare to feel that kind of hospitality, and we really appreciated it.
Overall, it was such a refreshing experience. We’d definitely come back!"
The Signature Level at Grand Palladium Sicilia Resort & Spa
8/10 Good
"The drinking glasses were dirty most of the time. That was disappointing.
The staff were lovely and pleasant.
Dinner timings and options were limited.
We were signature level and would have expected options for sea view, but those seemed to only be for the main building
Food was okay. "
